Default Question regarding average weight of 2013 silver pandas

So I'm a relative noon at stacking and just got in my first panda.

When I got it, it was sliding and moving in the airtight, which kind of peaked my suspicion a little bit

I repeated 4 times 31.0 g.

My question is, what's an average weight on these? Is there another way to differentiate real from fake? Keep in mind, this is the first one I've seen, so visual cues are of no help.

Is there any other NDT methods besides weight?

I plan on checking it with a magnet tomorrow at work.

I also plan on digital calipering it tomorrow at work as well.

Just going off weight, does that seem right?

Maybe wrong size airtight?

The only other air tights I have handy are 39s for zombucks, and it is to big.

Thanks for any help!

Mitch

If you're talking about the airtite they usually come in, yes I think they jiggle around in those a bit. I usually pop them out and put them into the 40mm airtites with the ring. they fit perfectly in those. a panda's diameter is 40.0mm.

as far as the weight, they should weight 1 troy oz which is 31.10g. so you're off by about a tenth. that's not terribly alarming although it does kinda suck because you typically like them to be a little over not under

how accurate is your scale? does it go in increments of 0.1g or 0.01g?

magnet and caliper are good tests as well. as I said, the nominal diameter of a panda is 40.0mm. hope it all works out ok!

My scale is pretty old, my mailer scale for cards lol.

Might upgrade soon.
