Thanks for the tip on Provident, I honestly didn't know they existed. $30 over spot for a Canadian maple... if I wasn't almost positive gold was going to take a crap in the next few months I'd be in on a couple of those.

As for zombucks dudes, be careful, I've seen 1870s Morgans go for metal value even though there are thousands of collectors and the coins are well over a hundred years old. At the end of the day, its metal content and not much else that matters.

Just made my most baller purchase as of yet-

Roll of 10 2013 5 oz Silver MT Rushmore SD National Park 25c ATB Coins SKU29481 | eBay

The Rushmore seems like one of the more popular of the 2013s and the mint tube comes out to about $24.25/oz, but I bought these gambling on their increase in numismatic value more than a silver investment. And if I'm wrong, hey, it's still 50 oz. of silver MCM also has individual Rushmores available for like $124-125/each which is still a good deal if you're just looking for 1 or two. Anyone think I've got a shot with this, or was this a sucker move on my part?

edit: Forgot to add- The purchase kicks back $30 eBay bucks for me which is like a free ASE+ just for making the purchase. =)

For 1200 you could of got a 1885 CC MS 65 Morgan graded. Modern Silver Commeratives i don't see having a big increase in numismatic value. The gold Buffalo's with the reverse proofs and the first Gold proof Buffalo's did increase. Silver is under 20 and i dont see a upward trend anytime soon. To me any commerative silver coin is bullion. Unless your talking non modern commeratives which i have a few of.

Thanks for the feedback. Right now graded US coinage is something I'm entirely unfamiliar with, so that's why I haven't gone that route. Don't buy what you don't know they say. And I agree with you that they probably won't see a big increase. My expectations are that in a year from now when a few more rounds of ATBs are out I'll be able to profit (minimum) $10-20 per coin after fees. A 10% return on a 1 year investment is worth it for me, and I think it's a realistic expectation as well. It's a gamble like I said, but I've always been a gambler

I thought so, too. After these days of gold being up, they're raising the premiums even quicker. Also, I'm just not a fan of paying premiums on AGEs when they're not even .999.

Oh, I don't doubt that they are here in the US. I just can't wrap my mind around why I'd pay over spot for something that isn't .999, at least, based on a spot price that is for .999.

eBay Daily Deal is back!

2014 1 oz Silver American Eagle Lot of 10 | eBay

Purchase 2 or more and get another $10 off. Works out to $24.50/per if you pick up 2. Looks to be about as low as you can hope to find lower quantities of BU 2014 SAEs.

That's only because they continually update the same listing. It's been ongoing for months, probably. It just sucks to be the people who paid $310 for them 2 days ago. You just have to keep watch on this one listing and wait for them to mark them at about $2.50 over spot. I don't know about where you live but, my coin shops are all $4 over spot on SAEs, at least.
