Default TV Coin Shows

Call me weird but I've watched the TV coin networks on and off for about ten years, a little for education but mostly to laugh at their prices. HSN, DSTV Coins, ASC Coin Show and the Coin Vault and (maybe once a month) ShopHQ.

Of all the shows, the Coin Vault is where I actually see some decent prices from time-to-time (and bought a couple items in the past), the others like I said I just laugh at.

What I've always wondered is while they supposedly cater to the "die-hard" collector they talk to us like we're stupid.

Especially when they do announce a "coin-by-coin" price on say a set of Proof Sets. If they're worth that much one coin at a time why aren't YOU selling them that way? lol

if you notice they always sell out of the stuff as people buy it.
Just like people on here that buy bars from apmex when they can get them $20-30 bucks cheaper on here and not have to wait 3 weeks to get them. It's just human nature

Those HSN prices on coins and bullion is ridiculous. They have to really prey on the ignorant to be selling at those prices.

Wait are you suggesting people actually buy at HSN's rates?

You use the APMEX example but most of HSN's prices are crazy.

And I know they offer "stretch pay" on some items but that shouldn't make it worth paying more.

Not to mention their silly ANACS "First Day Issues". Who buys ANACS anymore?

Yes i am saying they sell out of things and they move as much metal as a lot of refiners do. Do you think they would do it if they were losing money?
tv gold/silver and all the large houses(apmex and those places) are terrible places to buy metal

Not trying to incite anything, but I love APMEX. I rarely order from them because of the premium for their service, but whenever they run a deal, it is always the easiest transaction.

And who doesn't love the APMEX shoeboxes?

Yeah I guess they would have no incentive to "fake" selling stuff out I just can't believe people buy all that stuff at their prices.

That's just nuts.
