Talking First silver coin score

Went to Taco Bell, bought some food, got a bunch of nickels back in change. I check all my coins, saving all pre82 pennies. Never have found any "junk" silver. One of the nickels was a 1942 War Nickel. Value from coininflation.com with current silver price is $1.12

Lucky! I have yet to find one myself, and that even includes searching through rolls. LoL

I believe the war nickels that are silver (35%) are 1942-45. When looking, I always look for the mint stamp which they placed over the building on the back. By the way, this is my first post on this site! New member today!

Also, keep in mind of searching half dollars (Kennedys). The only coin that had silver in it after 1964 is the Kennedy half, which is 40% silver, and stopped in 1970.

A while back I would order a couple grand in halves from the bank, slice down the side of the rolls finding the silver and returning the rest (to another bank) haha.

Usually averaged a coin/$500box, surprisingly I found more pre65 than I did 65-70.

Fun way to waste some time if you are in to silver!
