Default Weird Nickel

My assumption is just that someone decided to, for whatever reason, print that 5 on the back of it, but I figured I'd post a pic of it anyway. Anyone ever seen a coin with that done to it?

No problem bud. Either way, it's a pretty unique find and kinda cool. I'm sure I would hang onto it lol.

Counter stamped. Older coins would have store names stamped on them and are collectible. A 5 on a jefferson nickle not too collectible.

Cool thought imagine when that was stamped and who done it and why did they do it?
Cool thing about holding an old morgan or an old gold piece, do you ever wonder who held it before you or where it has been? sry to ramble just some food for thought

Yup just a counter stamp, when I searched pennies I would find some great ones. I have found pennies stamped with Kennedy facing Lincoln, Lincoln stamped into the penny smoking a pipe. Free mason stamps, all 50 states stamps.

And yes older Morgan and pre 33 gold is great to just hold and think about. What if this gold coin was in the pocket of someone like Billy the kid, or Jesse James. That is what makes old coins so cool
