When I first read the story I didn't think anything strange about it. Several people forwarded me the story questioning the origin of the coins. I wonder if they were really found in the manner that they are claimed or if there is more to the story.

Incredible value nonetheless

Or maybe it was Walter N. Dimmick that work in the SF Mint that stole it and hid them.
