Default 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame coin?

Is anyone getting some of these? They look really cool. Hopefully they aren't too expensive.

This looks awesome! Be prepared for the surcharges of 35 per gold coin and 10 per silver....money goes to support the baseball Hof. I fired this off to my dad who is a huge coin collector....and we are going to the HOF induction this year.

While it looks cool. $10 surcharge on top of the mints overinflated prices for less than an ounce of silver. I will pass.

I think it's stupid they put "One Dollar" on those.

Why not just state the silver content, or put a real value on it and make it legal currency?

That is the "real" value of it (if cashed in) and it is legal currency. The ASE'S are the same way.

It's not necessarily for the silver content, the coins are meant to be a bit more numismatic than bullion coins

They're available to buy today. One silver coin is about $50 plus $5 shipping. To top it off, they're not shipping until mid-June.

Nice. I ended up getting the $1 coin. Hopefully it gets here on or before my birthday (June 20th.)

Just ordered some and they are back ordered till June. Maybe they will get to me before the HOF induction...... It would be cool to get one of the boxes signed by this year's inductees in a silver sharpie.

When I ordered, it said it was back-ordered until March 28.

Yesterday my order was back-ordered until April 1.

Today it's back-ordered until April 2.

Just received my silver proof today...really cool in hand.

The cases are shaped like the coin as well. Looking forward to the gold delivery on Thursday.

Just debating whether to get the proof or the uncirculated silver dollar, but will probably end up getting both.

I bought two of the uncirculated golds instead of proofs, hoping for a smaller percentage in mintage.

With 32k gold proofs and 18k uncirculated...I'm happy with that decision.

One thing...the proofs look better for sure.

I know that's what the Mint released but do you believe that they minted these coins this past week? I just got my gold proof today and was scheduled for April 14th shipment for backorder...kinda wish I bought another to flip for the $250 profit but only bought 1

I assume you bought the gold?

The golds are small for sure, but the $1 silver coin is fairly normal sized for 1 oz silver coins.

EDIT: Seeing the post above, I see that you purchased the half dollar...I haven't seen one of those in hand.

They are about the size of a quarter. I thought they would have just been a little bigger.
