Great but like "commons" in cards. Takes alot of time.

A fun way would be to just order BAGS OF PENNIES from the bank. Check them out and take out the goodies and exchange your modern pennies again for the next "bag".

Kills time i would think.

Nice. Paid $7000 to redo a small house a few years back and change to copper pipes. ouch.

PS: You got a great business, i know guys that make $$$ scrapping cars. They even "charge" for taking the car and get paid for the scrap(less glass, gas tank, cat converter, and stuff). $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

copper is a GREAT investment. If you have room to stack it id fill a barn full of it.
I haul in around 1500 lbs a month. ive been thinking about holding it for a year and making one large run as im close to a huge scrapper and they pay me very well due to all the stuff I drag to them

Equipment to carry and storage space should be your the final answer. If you can store and carry tons of copper, you can make huge money.

Think about it. TONS.

Is copper bullion in bar form like gold/silver worth the premium? (just did a search, say 10lb brick of .999 fine copper). Or is it cheaper at Home Depot to just buy copper wire and pipes?

Heres a link to what Im referencing my above question on...

Cerro, 1/2 in. x 10 ft. Copper Type M Hard Temper Straight Pipe, 1/2 M 10 at The Home Depot - Mobile
$11 and 47.5lbs? And the .999 fine copper was $60/10lb bullion bar

I usually sell a semi load a week (20 tons) and I have a storage shed out on my farm property that I farm (small farm only 100 acres) that has atleast 40 tons that I call my "rainy day fund" Its really lucrative especially when china was buying in the late 2000s I was selling it for 5.50 a pound to different processors. of course I get way better pricing then the average guy on the street could (I sell on contracts of 1000 tons a year)

Any metal that you can make money on is "sexy metal"
the trick is have your hands into as many different kinds as you can and as long as your number are positive keep on doing it.
Anyone that has "40 tons" of copper laying around is full of it lol
(patiently waiting on jerryw to educate me on how much bigger and better he is at everything lol)

your right(while bowing in awe) I would not be where I am at without your help and guidance(you have never helped or taught me anything) I could really care less how big or little yours is, because all that really matters is what I do for me and my family. So if spouting off about how high and mighty you are makes you feel better my friend by all means keep running your chatterbox. (as I walk away wishing I could just be like jerryw, a grouchy old man)

"sexy stock" twitter, Not sexy Proctor and Gamble.
"sexy Metals" Gold ,silver. made into coins and bars to look sexier.
Not sexy, copper, aluminum and others.

I think specializing is better than hands "all over" . If you only do metals for a living, all metals are great. if you do metals as a side investment, specialize in one metal because you wont have the capitol to invest in bulk.

Like being Lebron, he is a professional so stick to basketball (specialization) . Like the average joe , play all sports cause its not your profession "hands all over" .

You started the pissing match by calling out his figures and now you're mad? Please. Being a passive-agressive person over the internet is for people who are full of excrement and excuses.

I've never thought copper was a sound "investment" for anyone who cannot acquire it in massive quantities, if you can buy a .999 10lb brick for $60, then it's really not that fungible or valuable IMO. It's more practical (if you know how to do electronics) than financially valuable at that point.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll pass because of lack of storage and I don't have the money to buy 5000 tons. But as you said, its seems like a pretty good investment for people that fit the description.
