Default 1776 Continental Currency Coin...Validity

I have had this coin in my desk for sometime, I just recently took a notice to it as i thought it was some junk until i dug a little deeper and see it has some worth my question is can anyone help me with some info all i know for certain it does not stick to a magnet!

That's unfortunately a worthless reproduction sold in souvenir stores.

And how can you tell that? My understanding is the repros say replica and are cast?

There are different versions of this replica, most of which do not say replica or copy. There are thousands and thousands of them out there, the originals are very rare. You can probably see a seem if you look on the side. Also, if you go to Heritage Auction archives you can see what the real ones look like, which is really nothing like the replicas.

Unfortunately that is a hand cast copy of an original Fugio. Even the originals made of pewter have great detail as they were punched out on a rotary press.
