Question Silver at $18.98........ Bought another roll of 20 American Eagles!

Woohoo...

Are we going to get lucky and see $10 silver???

Or at the very least $15?

One can only wish, right.

Stack away, indeed!!!

Why buy now you ask, instead of waiting till it drops more? Because none of us are psychics, and never know when it will jump. So buy all the way down, and it'll just average itself out. Don't kick yourself in the rear when it shoots up too high and wish you would have stacked up when it was lower.

Stack away!!!!!

About to buy another roll of 20.

I don't think my prediction from early 2013 of $14 silver by the end of 2014 will happen, but it has deflated by about 20% over the past twelve months. Throw in 1.5% inflation.

It will happen in 2015.

couple of years ago republic monetary told me that silver would be around $100 or more and gold would pass $3000 like nothing. So glad I took my $ elsewhere. I suppose they could/should fall under the Merit closing based off of my experience w/their "sales guys" but this is AZ and not CA

So, you are to blame!

Joking. I am unfamiliar with this now defunct company.

Market dropped to $18.49 earlier this evening.

This is what happens with these companies who claim to sell you at 1 and 2 percent over cost. No business can exist on those margins and will eventually fold, OR they are engaging in unethical business practices like Merit.

smack was it merit or republic you purchased from? I never purchased from merit, but I was interested (their min to purchase was out or my range but I kept up with occasional calls and emails from someone there)

It was more that the part of CA they were located in seems to push out boullion companies for whatever reason. not sure if they really did what they were accused of, but republic certainly rubbed me the wrong way though and again I'm glad I didn't invest w/them.

time to watch to see if pm/silver still keeps dropping. might be time to stack a little more at the lower prices.

what will be easier to sell... bars or coins.
best bang for your buck? or does silver sell the same as other silver... provided we're talking .999

edit: sorry super vague questions i'm sure

just debating ...as i have been for awhile whether to get into this...

Coins will always sell easier and at a higher premium than bars. Coins are legal tender.

Rounds vs Bars...whatever your preference. The more reputable the minting company the easier it will be to sell.

So eagles is the way to go? JM shows price at $18.55 today and eagles selling at $21.93 per is this good?

For investment purposes not really... as long as it's .999 pure just buy 10oz bars. You can get them at a better rate than Eagles. For an even better premium buy 100oz bars.

A whiff of the $17s.

Lots of people cashing out to fund their Alibaba addiction. Kidding, thought smart. I'll wait for BABA's volatility to lessen. I've been following them for years. I'm excited about this day because it will make them a household name in the US from the relative unknown just a month ago. I believe they will disrupt some big boys in the US like Amazon and eBay.

Silver is down almost 4% today. Palladium down over 2%.

Gainesville Coins had it listing at $17.82 about 20 minutes ago.

When I was in middle/high school (before the internet) I would buy the Silver Eagles through mail orders listed in Coins magazine. I was buying major bulk (sometimes I bought two coins instead of one in an order) and paid under $6 dlvd for some of them. I think I remember them selling for $4-5 at times. Each issue always had someone with a full page ad offering some super low price. I rode my bike to the post office, purchased a money order and mailed my order form.
