convention / expo question...

anyone ever been? cant go to SDCC but am thinking about going to Las Vegas Comic Expo in sept. Just wondering what to expect from a normal con...is it a little like a baseball card show? like lots of vendors and things like that? any help greatly appreciated!

its is HUGE at least sdcc is. like unreal huge. you have to spend like 2-3 full days just to see everything and there is an insane amount of people. there are tons of vendors. tons of artists and writers doing signings. on site grading and book restoration and pressing experts lots of celebs you think it will be there it probaly will lol. will be going to the las vegas comic con myself in September if you go let me know

I live in Henderson, NV, and can't wait till this Expo.

This is the site for the people who put on the shows at the Galleria Mall every so often; the show is meh, but there is wax at least to bust at great prices

awesome man! yeah i been to the galleria show a few times its ok. most of the time cant justify spending the gas money to go all the way there from summerlin lol

Summerlin Snob, eh? The Galleria mall is five minutes from my house, so I go gamble at Sunset and then go to the mall and spend my winnings on the wax

hahahah i live like 5 mins away from redrock so thats where i go.

actually neither anymore lol. i stopped buying wax about 2-3 yrs ago and just been buying singles on ebay. it has saved me A TON of moneyand i got alot of stuff for my collection. but when i did i always went to ultimate to go see Jeremy and the guys up there was a good customer of theirs for years. i been to legacy a few times also but stayed loyal to ultimate.

yeah i 2nd that. with the exceptions of some of my pc and investment guys comics has been the way to go.

lets see 20 copies of thief of thieves #1 at cover when it came out for $60 or a box of football cards for $60...............?????

thief of thieves comics now worth almost $1000 and if i would have pulled 1 good auto out of the box id be lucky to make back $30. ill take the comics as the sure thing now lol
