It's a mini-series (4 issue) so I'll pick up one copy to read...otherwise I've learned from my past mistakes with mini-series!

Batman The Dark Knight was a mini series, and look what happened with that.

Better to be cautious though as you don't want to buy 20 of them and they just sit in a box doing nothing but collecting dust. I pre-ordered 10.

Feel free to insert the THOUSANDS of other mini-series before batman and after that failed horribly to produce investment potential

I appreciate the post and if it were not a mini, I would grab 10 as well. But,being a mini, no spin off, all it's own comic, I will save the 20.00

The upside is slim. If the comic is a hit and people scream for more, sure, will be a kick in the ass deal, like the Wolverine mini....but with the literal hundreds of minis released that flounder and fail and based on this writers previous characters/stories, I think I will pass on this one

BUT!

Keep up the good work

THis is one I should have grabbed a few of

Publisher: IMAGE COMICS
(W) Nick Spencer (A) Riley Rossmo (CA) Frazer Irving
Fillmore Press was once Madder Red, a homicidal maniac and criminal overlord who terrorized the town of Bedlam for years. Then he got better. This is what happens next. A double-sized introduction to a blood-soaked cityscape of murder, mayhem, and mystery by NICK SPENCER (MORNING GLORIES, THIEF OF THIEVES) and RILEY ROSSMO (REBEL BLOOD, GREEN WAKE)!

This looks like it will draw people.

So I went to TFAW since it's Local and I was curious how it compared to midtown, anyway I decided to check and see how many they had left total. Tfaw had 9989 while Midtown only had 25. Is that right? So even if they did over 9000 of Bedlam would that mean they printed a decent sized amount for the 1st issue . Check for yourself: Bedlam #1 at TFAW.com Can someone fill me in?

...I am confused as well since that would be the number they have coming in.
Perhaps they expect big things or...a data base issue, incorrectly entered quantity ordered. Only 2 guesses I come up with

It has to be. Usually they always run out right away of all the popular or even semi-popular comics right from what I've seem in my short few weeks as a new-comer to comics. It's real strange.

Hate to be Hijacking Indy;s thread here, but I do think the Bedlam book has a lot of potential for storyline as well as it will be a running series.
I think the art showing is crap, sorry. not a fan of this guys work, however the synopsis is very nice. I went ahead and grabbed 5. Midtown should have 20 left

I actually like Rossmo's artwork...and the art on this series looks good. Nick Spencer is a good writer as well (Morning Glories). Interesting story line...I ordered a few from midtown at 50% off you can't go wrong! Thanks

I have got to stop reading Indy's comic threads. Although I didn't order Happy #1, I did go ahead and order 5 copies of Bedlam #1. It looks very interesting to me and for 50% off, I figured it wasn't much of a risk. I'm a sports card collector, but you comic guys are going to start costing me more and more money all the time. Lol!

Actually now that I'm concentrating more on comics with very limited card purchases, I'm not spending nearly as much money as I used to. I still buy cards, but not as many. Probably cause I'm spending it on comics.

I did however just pre-order a case of Walking Dead Season 2 trading cards. If anybody is looking for any of those let me know, I'll have plenty.

As far as Happy #1 being a hit, who really knows. I do know Grant Morrison has a huge built in DC Audience already and I'm sure they'll be snagging copies of #1, but if it sucks word will get out quickly, but from the way he writes, it'll take all 4 issues before we get the whole story as he's got a nasty habit of writing stories that take multiple issues to fully understand.
