SDCC Derpy Hooves Sales $$$$$

That little pony went for $25 at Comic-Con. And look what it's selling for now.

Bronies have money and they like to buy this stuff.

(I don't even know what that NYCC thing is but just noticed it went for $300??)

1) Main reason for me is my 6 year old daughter watches this show and she's excited to get the comic...gets my little one interested in reading and into comics, win-win for me.

2) It's a good investment potential especially when midtown was offering them at $1 (or was it $2) copy...there's a lot parents out there that will not hear of this until it's sold out especially when Christmas time rolls around. They'll spend a lot of $$$ to get a simple little comic book for their daughter.
Plus there's the Bronies who will be buying this...so another win-win!

Up to this point I've stayed away from speculating this book, but being that this one is extremely limited I went in on 1. Might get a Midtown Derpy Hooves too. Staying away from the others. I've heard preorders already up to 90k with a month to go.

I might be wrong on the 125 each...I think it's just one cover that has both micro prints on them and total is 125 print run...which makes it even more rare!

I do too. I think it's a wrap around cover. You can see the IDW logo on the right one which is presumably the front cover.

If that Derpy Hooves SDCC figure is any indication of how crazy these bronies are, add in the young kids that are fans. And you have that whole population of people fighting over 125 copies...I think $70 shipped is going to be a bargain on it myself.

MLP has 19 variants. (WAY too many IMHO) I would think the shorter printed/hard to get ones will hold more value as the others will be easier to pick up. I am not buying them all, and so far have only invested in the Derpy Hooves Midtown variant as he's one of the most popular ponies as far as collectiblity, or so it seems to me. I agree, don't get a 2nd mortgage on the home to buy each and every variant, as we'll have to see how it plays out, but I do think the demand will be high on this title.

HAHAHAHA! LOL.. I don't know if Derpy is male or female, I'm only assuming. Derpy sounds more like a male name to me. If only we had a MLP expert in the group to guide us.
