lol.. Mark them up to 29.95, they're selling at that price, actually might start selling at 34.95

I tried explaining that I'm not a bronie and that my daughter is a fan of the show. He said "It's okay man. We're open here."

I dont know about the price on ebay. Ive been selling them on amazon for 24.95. Its not like they are selling fast because im the only seller on amazon as far as that midtown variant goes, but I did manage to sell them all.

Hard to say. The market is stablizing itself as far as pony goes. Just like what we are seeing with spiderman. 1000 people bought copies to resell, 1000 people people are putting them up for sale so supply is bigger than demand right now.

I do know that #2 print run was much lower than #1 though. Not a great sign but I think it will pick back up when the season finale for the cartoon ends, plus I dont think a lot of people know about the comic yet.

Also the 9 million variants for #1 didnt help nor did the 80k print run and its not like IDW has a huge marketing budget. Just have to give it time to get hot or fade into a memory.

It's a consistent seller, but not at high profits outside a few of the variants. Selling comics is a marathon, not a race. Just keep that in mind.

Which is why i always tell people sell their copies right away if they want to flip comics before 100 other auctions hit the bay. Otherwise you are in for the long haul which isnt a bad thing, just a different way of playing the game.

is it still advisable to put the #1s up for auction, or would BINs be the best bet?

completed auction show

Auction
10 to 18 dollars
BIN
14.50

So either way they average out to the same. Not surprisingly #2's and #3s(pre orders) are worth more right now, most likely due to a lower print run number

I went to NYCC, and I remember during the IDW panel they talked about how shocked they where when My Little Pony had more pre-orders than Green Lantern and instantly became one of their best selling titles before it was even released.

I would suggest its a pretty safe bet, but long term value will ultimately be determined by the continued success, and quality of the book.

If I was active in collecting comics, My Little Pony would definitely be on my buy list.

Side note: I have watched the show, I deem it decent, but overrated. Then again I'm not exactly the target audience.

I tried to watch it and couldn't get into it. I do however love Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors. Those later two are actually funny, the Ponies didn't make me laugh at all.

If you like adventure time, give Gravity Falls a shot, like that show a lot.

Another variant from Hot Topic for issues 1 and 2...sales on Ebay have been pretty decent for this one too. I actually saw this in the store today, too. I should have checked out prices on the Ebay app before I left!

That's nuts, the larger printed regular cover selling for well more than the variant...
