Revival crushed me thanks to his recommendation months ago. 15 #1A, 2 #1B, 4 Awesome/Third Eye, 3 CBLDF, 10 #1 2nd print, 20 #2.

And the wife keeps asking me why I'm burning my hobby $ so fast each month. Yikes!

That's the funny thing. She's convinced I'm pissing $ away. When I was buying strictly cards up until April I was losing and losing and losing, though I kept telling her I'd hit something eventually. Well, it never happened and I started visiting the OT boards here on BO and noticed some of the comic threads by Indy. I remember telling her I'm going to start collecting/flipping books like I did in my teens and told her with my $ I'd have her a new flat screen by black Friday. Here we are months later and if I sold today what I have I'd have that flat screen and then some! Planning on having it show up at the door step or for Christmas with a snide/evil "I told you so" card.

That's so long as the book doesn't completely tank in the next month or two, which I just cannot see happening.

Argh..

Impulse Creations, Inc. just sent you a refund

Note from merchant
I'm very sorry but the Robot Chicken variant sold out and our inventory did not update quickly enough due to the large volume of almost simultaneous orders.

Its hard to flip because its hard not to sell comics when u want to keep them. I started flipping the week thieves #1 came out and have been making its about 1k dollars a month. Tell your wife not only is it possible but its easy especially when you have forums like this to find whats hot before anyone else knows its hot.

i had horrible luck shipping comics that I kind of stay away from trying to flip. A lot of the guys here had packages get demolished which was unfortunate.

i still like to watch the conversations though

speaking of which, I think Indy and Mike owe me feedback still from our last deal. Indy, how did those last few I sent you grade?

I'm not sending them in. The first 2 were 9.2-9.4, the last one would have gotten 9.4-9.6.. On those I would only send in if I felt as if it would get a 9.8. The first 2 were damaged, and the last one had printer ink on the upper right and top staple that would have demoted the grade. At least the last one made it without being manhandled by mr. USPS (or Mrs. USPS).

Most dont use strong enogh cardboard when shipping. Plus you want to send it first class 'parcel' so it doesent go through the sorting machines.

Yep i do this part time. Usps hates me because i make them work hard. I ship about 200the comics a month out if the postal service. 2 thick carboard + comic in an envelooe will cost about 2.60 cents first class mail and normally only takes 3 days.

Did anyone notice the price of the robot chicken variant on Midtown last night?
When I ordered 6 they were $8.50 each but within 10 minutes of me ordering the price had gone up to $17.50 each? Even now they are 17+ but show sold out...supply and demand = PRICE.

I just checked Ebay and there's already 50 listed! I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it now or what for the time of the special to sell it.

awesome! They got them free, so they're still making $4 a pop, so they're happy too.

Got the last one on hold at my LCS, selling to me for cover price. Since theres only one, my gut tells me to flip fast while its hot, unless collectors with more knowledge think a hold is worth it?

This book has cross over appeal due to the Robot Chicken on the cover. I think they'll only go up in value. They're selling for 20-25 a pop now on Ebay and will dry up over the next week or so. You could take the easy 20 now, or gamble and hope they go up.

I'm selling a few, holding a few, grading a few.

Yeah, I wish i had that luxury, the store give pref to subscribers and admitted flat out that they rarely sell variants as extras.

Prob go for the quick $20. Thanks.
