I picked up 4 from sci-fi genre at $2.99, they're all sold out now. All my LCS want $25+ for these and had more than 5 customers wanting them. I'm glad I was able to find them for a good price! I'll probably hold on to one, trade another and flip two.

A guy I know, he couldn't find one at the shops. I think they might go a little higher, all the shops in Indy have 0 of them and he says people were asking for it in the store while he was there.

Just called my comic book place. They have 2 in stock at $19.99

I have 3 incoming from online, is it worth buying these for resale? I'm VERY new to this comic book thing

Just based on killerturtle's comment above yours I'd say it might be a good idea to pull the trigger, but it's your call!

I ended up finding a little shop I've never been to before. Had 1 variant comic left for $7.95

That's not true. The shops still have the pay the standard price for the book. DC and Marvel don't do free variants.

This one was an unannounced bonus. They got 1 free for every 10 they ordered, or so I was told.

So do I hold my 3 copies? (I have 4, I'm keeping 1 ) or are they something I should hold for a bit? Being new to comics I dont know how much things like this go up/down in value.

I stand slightly corrected. Normally, Marvel and DC retailer incentive covers are not free, the stores have to still pay the same amount they pay for the regular covers. This was WAS a free promotional copy sent to stores.

And it appears to be a 1:10. My LCS only gets 22 copies of Aquaman, and we got 2 Robot Chicken copies in as well.

Speculating on comic prices is like gambling. You have to use your own best judgement

^^^ What he said. It's not an exact science. If you can sell one or two that pay for the copies you keep, you're ahead of the game IMHO.

There's an influx of them right now and some people are giving them away. I'm hanging onto mine as well. These will dry up and will be great books to have when the demand is still there, but short supply.

went to my 3 locals. None of the robot chickens showed up or so I was told. I still have on the way from midtown. Justice league, non variants all gone except for the ones that were crushed. Picked up 4 aquaman annuals, and a variant, plus 2 of each of the other annuals so it wasnt a total waste of time.

You think these will take off when the episode of Robot Chicken airs?
