Justice League #12 Sold out (Superman/Wonder Woman Kiss on Cover)

You can still get them at Midtown

Comes out 8/29, Sold out by DC Comics, and already selling for $12 on Ebay.

I got a few of the regular cover by Jim Lee.

Remember Birds of Prey #8 with the 1st Nightwing/Barbra Gordon hookup? You might want to grab a copy or two of Justice League #12 at your shop next Wednesday, or order a few from Midtown.

Looks like the media will by hyping this book, expect it to sell fast, and will make a great book to flip for a week or so then it'll die down, but will still be a valuable book due to the nature of the content, and Justice League is a strong seller to begin with.

Hard to say. Depends on how many new readers there are, and what actually happens in the comic, but selling out before release is typically a good sign.

Also, I hear this isn't a one-shot type deal. Superman and Wonder Woman will be together for a while and it'll change the dynamics in the DC universe, which would drive it's value as a Key Book. One top of that Jim Lee did the art, and based it off the famous "The Kiss" painting. Just look at Key Batman books by Jim Lee, they hold their value.. Definately worth picking up IMHO.

I found this in the description of the book

"A shocking last page that will have the world talking about this issue!"

I wonder what happens.. I hope I'm not let down as many times these "shocking" events are somewhat "meh".. but then again, if it is indeed "shocking" we could see these explode.

LBS is getting 50 copies on 8/29. Guy on the phone didnt even think it was a big deal. Prob grab 3-5 copies.

Do comic shops get variants, how do you score them?

Get there early. Once they find out what's going on they might limit you.

I actually work that day and can't justify taking a half day to pick up some comics. I called today and they actually had some Revival #1,2 second prints that they're holding for me. So I'll see if they can hold me a few copies till after work.

I got a few. Trying to flip them quick. This will be like the death of Human Torch in FF 587. Kind of hot building up to release and then flopped.

I agree, for the most part this will be hot and then simmer down, but the book will still be worth more than normal issues, but not a huge amount.

called a comic store in nj and he will have some on wednesday and he is holding 5 for me at 3.99..and he has 3 thor 344 for 2.50 each....thank u for the tips i havent brought comics in years

From someone who has the comic in hand, and has read it. He had this to say about the issue:

It should ALSO be noted that the last page of JLI annual indicates to "ME" that Justice League #12 is a MAJOR key issue to the new DC 52.

He also states Green Lantern Annual #1 this week is an amazing Key that will be sought after for decades as well.
