I was digging through some of my old issues, many of which I don't even remember getting, and came across Kingdom Come by Waid and Ross. This has to be one of my all-time favorite series. Great art, great storytelling (my issue four was auto'd inside by Waid, too).
What are some of the faves out there?

you guys are going to laugh-
The Scarlet Spider arc from Spiderman. and it's all due to me getting them as a kid that didn't buy many comics. Then again, I loved Venom so he was in it and all that. but yeah, nostalgia is a bitch haha.

Kingdom Come is a great one. I have to say that I absolutely love the Infinity Gauntlet and Crisis on Infinite Earths stories. I thoroughly enjoyed Emerald Dawn and Emerald Dawn II when they came out, as well as the Star Wars sequel comics Dark Empire. Dark Empire was the bomb when it came out. I still have those particular comics hidden away somewhere.

I've got plenty. Batman: The Long Halloween is always up there. In fact, most of the Loeb/Sale stories are awesome, with Spiderman: Blue my other favorite of theirs.
Y: The Last Man overall is a great run, but Cycles (issue 6-10) is what got me totally hooked. Ring of Truth (issue 27-31) is my second favorite. Some others: Batman- Dark Knight Returns or Bruce Wayne: Fugitive X-Men- Pretty much Grant Morrison's entire run, or Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing Green Arrow- I can read Quiver or Archer's Quest repeatedly and enjoy it. JLA- Tower of Babel or Obsidian Age Also have to add Bone, Infinite Crisis, Secret Invasion, the first 25 issues of Valiant's Harbinger run, Fables "March of the Wooden Soldiers", the first Runaways series, Bendis' Alias, Warren Ellis' Global Frequency, Watchmen, Alex Ross' Marvels. Man, too many to name.

My wife got one of the Bone books from the library for the kids and then I ended up having to read all of them.

The Batman Hush story arc was really good, and the whole Bruce Wayne is dead, not he's not, has been an interesting take on the Batman universe, especially bringing in Damian into the Robin role. There's a lot happening in Batman right now, it's been fun to read, and coming up soon, the Joker is back..

I'm just getting back into reading and collecting comics, and I needed an arc/run to really get me back in. So I picked up all of the books of the Blackest Night run. I have to say I am really enjoying the story line and how it intertwines from one book to the other.

for me Blackest Night had some good moments but I couldn't really get into the ending. I mean, the whole Ralph and Sue killing Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and anything Barry Allen did was great, but I thought the whole story dragged on.
as for other great moments, I loved Green Lantern: Rebirth. From Green Arrow putting on the ring to try and stop Sinestro, to Hal's emergence and the fight with Sinestro, to the punch on Batman, it was full of some great moments. also, Identity Crisis had some awesome moments although the ending with the big reveal of the killer was a bit of a letdown. Batman was just awesome all throughout that one.
