Dragon*Con report - comic POV
I regularly attend Dragon*Con - my main objectives are autographs, but I also hit the vendor halls looking for deals. If you've never been, Dragon*Con is all about Cosplay. Costumes are this cons main attraction. And Comic book vendors leave little to be desired. There were roughly 5-6 comic vendors at the entire con - that's it. So if you ever thought about going, make sure you have other objectives you are interested in.
With that said, you can find a few deals from the vendors there.
I picked up these, most from the same vendor:
* Chew #1 (2nd print) - $3
* Battle pope #1 (got 2) - $3
* DMZ #1 - $3
* Locke & Key #1 (2nd print) - $5
* Revival #1 - $3
* Walking Dead 100 Chrome - $10 (I missed this when it came out)
Only 1 vendor had the hot modern comics -- all were raw and stupid expensive. Adventure Time #1 $35, Thief of Thieves #1 was $100, Revival #1 was $40, and there were more.
Anyway, DragonCon is a lot of fun and I do recommend it if you live within a few hours of Atlanta, but just be sure you go for more than comics!
