Default Sleeper Picks for 10/24 - Bravest Warriors, Spawn & Talon

These three picks might be good to pick up in the following ways in terms of collectibility, and potential resale.

Bravest Warriors #1
The Base Version: (2 Covers)
There are three Variant Covers
1. David Bell 1:15 Variant
2. Jim Rugg 1:20 Variant
3. Pendleton Ward 1:30 Variant

Created by Pendleton Ward who also does Adventure Time!
Note: Adventure Time #1 was way under-ordered and was selling for 10x cover price within a week. Let's hope this has similar success for anybody who wants to flip it. I actually read Adventure Time and it's super funny, and I anticipate this book will be as well, plus Cover B recreates a famous scene from Star Wars.

How can you go wrong with that?
Available for Pre-Order here.

Talon #1

There is a Sketch Variant for $127 at Midtown <- Graded 9.8 = $$$
Why? SCOTT SNYDER of Batman lore! Talon comes right out the storyline previous to Death of the Family. This books could be HUGE. Available for Pre-Order at Midtown

Spawn #224 Sketch Variant

My Last pick for next week will be the Spawn #224 Sketch Variant that emulates the art of 3rd Book in Frank Millers famous 1980's Dark Knight Returns 4 book mini-series. Appeals to Sketch Variant Fans, Frank Miller Fans, McFarlane & Spawn Fans! It's only $13 a pop on Pre-Order at Mid-Town!

Note: I don't just hype books for Midtown, or any other retailer. I'm sharing with you what I think has potential to collectible, and potentially re-sellable and I try to give my reasoning. I hope I'm right because I typically buy each pick I post. I don't even want to tell you how much $$$ I've spent on My Little Pony #1 pre-orders (I think it's going to be HUGE!)

Friendship IS Magic!
Get in on these before they sell out and you're left scratching your favorite body parts.

Also for those revival fans issue #1 4th print looks nice along with issue #4

Thanks Scrogg! Forgot to mention Revival #4 hits.. I'm excited to pick that one up. The Spawn Sketch will look like the photo I posted above, Spawn crouching down taking a nasty dump in his evil adult diaper, but only in Black and White. I picked one up a few mins ago. They're already selling on Feebay at $19.99 a pop.

Sure looks like it doesn't it? I've not read that storyline, so I have no idea what those are. I wonder if they're battery powered, or run on solar power, or what? I'm curious now to find out what that's all about. I also wonder if his suit is stainless steel and if he'll rust or not.

Called my LCS they are listing the Sketch Talon 1:200 for $100. They never mark variants up that high...(I got the Uncanny Deadpool sketch for $37) Got the 1:25 for $12.

Got one on fleebay from 3rd Eye for $74 shipped. Heres hoping he packs his stuff nice! If I can get this thing to cgc w/9.8 could be a nice flipper!

I'm pretty excited for Talon. I'm gonna get a couple #1's as it's Scott Snyder and he's been great on Bats, and introduced us to Talon to begin with.

There seems to be some pretty solid buzz on it. Hoping it was lightly ordered...is there a place to see where the info on total printed?

Heheh.. We both watch the news pretty close. That's awesome, we were like seconds apart in posting. I went ahead and ordered 10 more from Midtown. I think this one could be a winner. I hope.

They are sold out of the Pendleton Ward variant though

Bravest Warriors #1 1st Print - The book only has a 17,000 print run! That's pretty low. This could quickly become a $10-$20 book if there is market demand, and I think there will be. Kids are gonna LOVE this show when in premiers in a few weeks.

The price of cards and resell values it's not worth it as much anymore. I just like to buy singles and do more comics

Yeah, if you guys keep buying on Wednesday like us other comic nerds, you'll find Tuesday nights/Wednesday mornings pretty exciting. It's a great way to make the middle of the week something to look forward to.
