Hey Indy, two questions:

When do you plan to send these out? And, can I send you one of my own? I was able to grab a nice NM one a few weeks back.

Indy, when did that guy say he sent your comics out. I think my order went in before you and I just got an email today stating they were sent out this morning. Hope he didn't give me all the vf copies after the whole price change issues lol.

Yeah, you can send your own book to me to include in the order as well. I'm not sending it in for at least 2 weeks from now.. No huge hurry, just seeing if anyone is interested. Scrogg, not sure the exact time he sent them.

Also, I'm hoping to pick some NM/M out of this group to send in. I'm not sending them if I don't think they'll grade 9.6-9.8 - If we have to, we can pick up some NM copies, they're out there, but at or around the $10 per copy price, and that would be added to your price if you decide to go that route.

I can say I have TWO that I am sure would 9.8
The rest...9.6 and 9.4
This book is HORRIBLY prone to tipping on top and bottom
The book is forced together by the cover, same with the other 3 issues and this causes minor movement to form tipping on upper left and lower right on the spine
The second issue is chipping along the bottom border
and 3rd is the pages, because of how the book was put together, as the book is flattened, the pages on a MULTITUDE of issues protrude past the cover.
I think a 9.8 is a hard get. Remember, I consider 2 a 9.8 out of 100+ I picked up .
If you check CGC registry...MOST of the ASM collectors do not have a 365 due ot how hard it is to obtain this grade

Then again, I bet the buyer of this is sitting high

Amazing Spider-Man #365

and this

Amazing Spider-Man (1963 1st Series) 365 CGC 9.8

you just never know when that 1.00 book is going to explode.

Wait wasn't he Spiderman 2099? I need to search the interwebz and figure out what is going on here!

I am pretty sure I have a copy of ASM 365 at my parents house sitting with my other comic books. Gonna have to look for it when I visit them for Thanksgiving.

Yes, he was the 2099
Spidy 2099 is also moving up in hype

I have no idea how this alternate world and time-line #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ works anyway...as I said, modern comics are mostly stupid

It's all speculation at this point, but that's what makes comics so fun!

Gib, yeah, it's gonna be tough, but after hearing you only got two 9.8 worthy out of 100 makes me think I'll get closer to 1 out of 15, IF I'm lucky.

I'll offer them to members here raw, or if they want to get them graded they can, but from the way it sounds, these will probably grade in the 8.0-9.0 range, but I've not seen my books yet.. Even so, I still think a graded copy will outsell a raw copy when the HYSTERIA (limited as it may be) hits.

I happened to pick one of these up in a lot of comics I bought not too long ago. I haven't looked at it closely to see condition (though I am NO expert).

I have to agree with mma, though...while this new Spidey might last a little bit, Peter Parker has to come back somehow and assume the role again. Beloved characters like PP don't just ride off into the sunset never to be seen again.

True...they don't...in the Marvel Universe, they die and come back to life.

I think superhero comics in general seem to do this. Think about DC and their Blackest Night/Brightest Day storyline where they brought back so many characters that were thought dead or gone. The storylines over countless books got so convoluted that they had to reboot their entire line with the New 52 to keep newer readers from being confused.

Yah
As I check around, 8.5 and 9.0 are the most common grade
I see a few 9.2, a smattering of 9.4 .fewer 9.6 and about 12 9.8....out of a book with MILLIONS printed
I know the thought would be "Why even grade it" before this speculation...and that one is simple though as hundreds of people are working on ASM runs.
Some know they will not find 9.8 below 100 in quantity to fill the run, so they build runs from 101-700 all 9.8
That is NOT to say there are no 9.8 below 100
But that is why people will get them graded
Also, the bulk submitter who get those discounts, would sub on the 100000 year grading period, utilizing bulk discounted and get it graded for 20.00 or there abouts.
When added in among 500-800 books, the shipping/insurance addition is non-existent and flipping them for 40-50 is lucrative....was
Fairly usre a 9.8 would bring 300-400 today and possibly more as the new title gets closer.

Man sounds like this book is about as tough to grade as a Topps Five Star card! But I can definitely see the potential if you get a great grade and this is the new Spiderman.

Got the books in today, and have gone through them. They're in really great shape for the most part, but out of the 15, I'd only send in 5 that have a chance at a 9.4+ grade.

I will email all those interested to see if you want roll the dice on one of the 5 at $40 a pop and see if we can get this order sent in soon and get us some nice potential key books graded to sit on.
