$60 each. Could look like a bargain soon with that print run and the possible merchandising and TV show Ken was discussing today.

Me too. It's Chew but hopefully with the follow through. Chew as in similar print run and price trajectories. Content-wise, not so much.

I think a check on CGC forums to see the history of Chew. Very interesting!

When the series in is #6, prices are #1 are already around $100-$150. This is before any tv show news so prices are already much higher than Todds at this stage of the series. This was in 2010.

Then, on March 2011, the TV news broke. This was the link I found for the sale after the TV show. A complete set for 3k . Even with the news, the 9.9 never break past 1k in Jul 2011.

Then something happen in late 2011. It is like the arrival of the speculators. 9.8 SS are commanding near 1k prices and regular 9.8 are seeing $500

For the rest of 2012, prices sort of flat lined in the USD500 range for 9.8s. Of course, the show was canceled and everything follows back to the pre show levels.

Make sure you leave the appropriate feedback, you can on cancelled orders, you just have to wait a few days to do so.

That's what I'm struggling with now. I have 1 regular 9.8 and one SS 9.8 signed by Ken Kristensen of Todd #1 first print. I picked these up early on because I'm a fan of the series, not really for speculative purposes. I'm tempted to sell one of the slabs, but I agree and think it may be better to hold out. There's a lot of possibilities even just in terms of merchandising. Obviously too early to tell, but we could be looking at a warped version of the Simpsons or Family Guy for a new generation. I'm already picturing some guy walking around in a "We Trust in Todd" t-shirt at Disney.

That's a good point and exactly what I'm reminded of. I think it has a lot to do with knowing when to let go. Obviously, modern books are very fickle. Sixth Gun clearly crashed when the pilot didn't get picked up by NBC. One would think this may be easier to develop since it's animation and the production studio behind it already has a proven track record with Adult Swim and other networks. Seeing that the news just broke on this, it would seem that there's still a good amount of room to grow until something good or bad happens with the TV show.

I wouldn't hold on longer than a week or so..Carr is smart, he started dumping for a small profit then increased steadily..you figure you double your money on anything these days its good..

Sell Them as soon as you see a silly high price for a 9.8 sale ... then its time to dump

Copies are flooding the Ebay listing now. If you sell them, you will be competing with those cheap copies. Wait for a week or so to see if the supply clears.

For anyone who want to buy Todd, now might be a good time to snipe a copy under $40. Just too many to keep track.

If this is the kind of flood for a low print title like Todd, can you guys imagine the tsunami wave that will come if Clone is confirmed. That is why I don't think prices for Clone will rise by much in the near term.

No problemo.

I'm very happy about grabbing 4. I thought for sure I was out of the Todd club.

I think Third Eye just saw a way to sell some stock quickly. Much like Austin Books did during the Sixth Gun craze. It worked well for them.

That was a great find. I had given up on finding a sub $40 copy. Doing another LCS search tomorrow. Today turned up a #2. Ah, unemployment has its benefits. That and not wearing a suit in 98 degree weather.

I think so. It's not even a week since the news broke. Ken has big plans for this property. Anyone remember where Peter Panzerfaust was soon after the BBC rumors started back in 2012?
