Got my books in Indy. Thanks! I have no CLUE how the Wolverine only got 9.6.. this book is nearly flawless. Oh the politics of CGC.

I know right?! I thought it had a really good chance. It's so hard with older books, and that book came from a 1 owner collection, well protected for years. The Killing Joke looks wicked though in that case! I love that book. I've had books I thought would be 9.2-9.4 come back 8.5 before as well. CGC is nice enough to offer grading notes on books that grade lower than 9.4 I believe, I'll have to check, but they make you pay $5 bucks per book to get the notes! What a scam IMHO. I think that should be part of the service. It seems like they're really nickle and dimeing me anymore. They now also added a "service" fee to each order! Just keeps getting better, but who else can you use? Maybe PGX? I may try them with a few books soon and test the waters.

Post 1988 books are $50 per book (for 20 biz day serivce, $40 for the 100 day service) to cover the costs associated. I don't charge anything personally, but I am trying to limit it to once a month if at all possible as it's been taking up a lot more time than I initially thought it would.

Some more of our books were graded today. The books status has been updated above. I hope to know grades by the end of the week for these graded books. Note: CGC doesn't give out actual grades until the books ship. This was a recent change of thiers, and I don't like it.

I've got a question, Indy. How does CGC charge people? Do they charge you after they grade your comic and see how much it's worth?

Nope, they charge me the second they come in the door with the order form, BUT if the book grades high and it's value raises, they re-charge me for the new insurance premiums it takes to ship it back to me. I just had this happen on a Walking Dead #19, they charged me another $30 for the book as it graded 9.8

Where do they reference to value the book?

I'm not really sure, I've never used it, but I know a lot of dealers do.
