I don't think they'd have a director on the movie if it was just a red herring.

They are starting casting now...here is a bunch of news about it

ROCKET RACCOON!!

Don't know about you guys, but I don't think Raccoons should be allowed to carry rocket launchers.

About two years ago I was Bass fishing and heard some movement in the reeds in front of me. I shined the flashlight and it was three or four baby raccoons. Me being the Dumbass that I am, I grabbed one, not first checking to see if its Momma was around. He was shrieking, clawing, and trying to bite me with all his might. I wanted to keep it and tame it, but my girlfriend at the time was less than happy about the whole situation, so I had to let it back go. Next time I catch one with my bare hands, I'm gonna keep him and name him Rocket.

Now what Marvel needs to make a movie of is Rocket Raccoon vs. Hit Monkey; I see Oscar Noms all over that.

Teeth, claws? Meh.. You're lucky he didn't have a Rocket Launcher. That's pretty cool though, I've never held one. Shot at plenty of them, but never held one all with that crazy ass LOOK ATS ME MA'S! I'S GOTS A COONS! look in my eyes.
