Default What is the right thing to do

Buyer states he never received his midtown 700 variant. I shipped it priority mail with delivery confirmation. Tracking number says it was delivered. If it were a 5 dollar book id refund him without thinking twice because I like to keep my feedback high. But this is close to 100 dollars.

Im not saying he's lying because I dont know him. Id like to think that he really didnt recieve the book. Knowing the postal service, its not unlikely that they delivered to wrong address or maybe someone snatched it. I don't know.

If it smells like ****, looks like ****, tastes like ***..it's probably ****. The tracking # is a sellers best friend these days on eBay. It might be a different case if he said he received it but the package was empty. He's saying he never got it but the DC says otherwise. I don't see how you wouldn't win this case, but it is eBay, after all.

I realize that hindsight is 20/20, but for orders that are over $100, I always do signature confirmation. That $2 extra can save you quite a bit of headaches. Does not help you now, but perhaps in the future it will.

In your case, I would absolutely contact the PO and start an investigation.

Tell him that you will let the post office know that it was confirmed and they will likely be sending a postal inspector out to ask him about it. Remind them that postal fraud is a federal offense and can carry jail time.

This is a good idea. Show him your poker face. If he's bluffing, call it. He'll either make up an excuse "my son brought the mail in and didn't tell me I had a package." And if he sticks to his guns then I guess you'll have to call the PO.

Default MISSING COMIC

Sometimes post office prescans the delivery so might be delayed a day

he has to contact his delivery person in person and show the delivery conformation

you did your job only thing you could have purchased insurance

I WOULD NOT REFUND HIM ITS UP TO HIM FROM HIS END TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED

Do this. I've had this happen multiple times over the years - and I have yet lose any money over it. Most of the time, I never hear back.

If DC shows delievered, have him open item not rec'd with pp.

Once open call pp and explain it shows as dlvrd.

Most of the time they refund the buyer and eat the cost themseleves. Unless he has a track record of not recieving packages.

Best shot at keeping your feedback and money!
