Default Superior Spider-Man #1 Spoiler Free Preview Review

From Moteo Verdino Comixology

OK, I won't spoil this because it's not even out yet. I got it ... well... hard to explain. Remember my review about ASM #700 when I said that a new and exciting era begins? Well, I couldn't be more accurate. This comic is brilliant. The writing is, the art is... even the cover is! The Superior Spider-Man is really superior in comparison with Amazing Spider-Man. The way he acts, the way he fights, the way he thinks... he's superior to Peter in all aspects. When Dan Slott announced this book, he said that it would be darker that amazing I thought it would be as dark as New 52 Batman but I was wrong. It is indeed darker, but not so much. I've read the best comics from Marvel NOW!, and I can confirm that The Superior Spider-Man is the best of them all. I'm anxious to see how MJ, Peter's family and allies will react when they discover who Superior Spider-Man really is. I'm also intrigued about how will Peter return { coff- Mephisto affairs-coff ! }, or more important... will Peter return? We'll have answers for that in the future, but in the meantime, let's relax and read a great super-hero comic. Believe me, the ones who read it before it launches agree with me, and for the ones who haven't read it yet... well, read it. Trust me, you'll love Spider-Man after this issue.

This is going to cause a huge rift in the spiderman fan base. Especially if it gets traction. People like a dark side to a hero (hello wolverine). Give that angle to spiderman and you have a whole new formula.

I'm looking forward to reading it. I wonder if there will be a line again like there was with ASM #700. I saw a lot of guys there that week who are never there.

From the mini-previews I read for each book in the Superior run, it looks like the first actual kill for SSM will be in issue #5. In order for collectors/readers to latch onto this series permanently, SSM will have to be legitimately dark and kill someone every once in a while, otherwise it's still the same old song and dance. I'll definitely keep 1 issue of each set aside for a reader copy, glad to see a great aerly review.

Well if you want the potential answer to that check out Midtown and see the sinopsis for issue #5. I tried to check out the character on Marvel Wiki, it doesn't show anything about him.
