Anyone have a #1 (2nd) that they could sell me? Can't seem to find one in town. Please be gentle in your pricing

The only local comic shop anywhere near me only orders a small handful of Image titles: Walking Dead, Spawn, Saga, and a few of the older series like Youngblood. He said he can't get rid of the Image titles; even the Walking Dead sits on the shelf.

Buy Comic Books | Comics Book stores | Buy Graphic Novels - ComixZone.com
I went and took a look at Comixzone. I've never ordered from there, but upon a closer look, they are one of those shops that do not have accurate quantity counters in their system. They'll let me order 10000 #'s of number 3 before telling me it's out of stock. This ties your money up only to be later told they can't get it for you. I avoid web sites that operate that way.

It's 2013 people. Software exists that will accurately tell you how many issues you have left for sale. Midtown can do it, TFAW can do it, so can you.

#'1s hitting 40-45 now, and I see a 9.8 ending tomorrow at $100 already

I've thought about it too. It was limited to 500 and released in the UK so condition is always a concern for me, especially when spending $150 on a book, so I hesitate each time I see one.

I cherry-picked two clean #1's for $8 at the Phoenix show this weekend, dropped them off with CGC. Submitted six #1's and two #2's. I have looked through about twenty five fresh #1's and about 55% of them have the infamous black smudge in the lower left. Indy, I've seen some other white cover books like Wolverine Origins #10 get CGC 9.8's with some minor smudging; if all else is perfect with the book, do you think these can still find their way to 9.8's? I haven't moved any copies yet and was debating if I am being too picky when grading.

Yeah, I saw quite a few Revival Sketch covers with similar issues get 9.8's.

I can also do another submission , but the problem is I can't buy the books cheap enough anymore as the cheapest is $30-40 for the raw book right now. If you have one you want to send me, I can send it in for you.

Ha ha! check out the same seller's completed listings just for Nowhere Men. Gotta love watching the progression of price from just a single seller. Almost like a cattle auctioneer; "Do I hear $9.88? $9.98 sold. Can I hear a $13.88? $13.88 sold. How about an $18.88? $18.88 sold. $24.88. $32.88. His current raw asking price is $46.88. I wonder how many copies this guy started out with.

ALTHOUGH -> I am going on a gold hunt tomorrow. I'm going to try and hit 2-3 new comic book stores I've never been to which involve long distance driving to partially out of the way towns on the outskirts of Indy.

I'm hoping to score some Nowhere Men #1 & 2, Panzerfaust, Saga, Sixth Gun, RIPD, TOT, WD and anything else that looks good. Hopefully I'll have a decent report tomorrow afternoon, but who knows what they'll have. I thought about waiting until Wednesday to go, but that's new Comic Day and It'll be much busier in the shops and harder for me to browse.
