Hopefully I'll have a decent report tomorrow afternoon, but who knows what they'll have. I thought about waiting until Wednesday to go, but that's new Comic Day and It'll be much busier in the shops and harder for me to browse.
Good luck! I did that last week. Worked out fairly well.

Only one shop within an hour 1+ drive I haven't hit. But it is at Pikes Place Market in dt Seattle. So I doubt they will have anything.

When I got my copies in I didn't have a damaged one like I hoped (I know, I'm weird, but I want one I can justify as a reader copy). I just went on Indy's tip on this one and added a stack of them to get to $75 on my Midtown order to get free shipping (I did the same thing with two extra Midtown ASM 700's on one day for $10.20 and one more the next day at $12 ;^) So since they were all clean and selling for about $15 by the time I got them, I still haven't read the series yet. Is it on comixology? If so I'll read them tonight.

Indy, I owe you again, send me $1 again by paypal so I can print the postage for that book I'm saving for you and then refund your $1.

Yep, second level. Haven't been there In years, Pikes Place just annoys the hell out of me.

But decided I will head up there tomorrow and take a look.

Assuming I can park within 20 blocks of the market!

Absolutely no chance that $80.99 is legit, ther are Buy It Nows all over the place in the $35-$45 range on ebay. Someone is just trying to artificially bump the value up, but still pretty impresive to be around $40 raw already for a $3 book in December.

Thought same thing. Seller listed another very shortly after that one ended. Starting bid $2.99.

Plus while I cant call it shill, the top 2 bidders sure like that seller.

I found a raw copy of #1 at my regular comic shop this morning. Then I hit up another comic shop that I hadn't been to and scored a Think Tank #1, some Saga (#4 and #8), Young Avengers O'Malley variants for $5.99 (grabbed four of those), Peter Panzerfaust #5, 6, and 7, Revival #2 and #3, and Nowhere Men #2, all for cover or less (except the O'Malley Young Avengers as noted).

Pretty solid day.

I am new but have been reading for a while. I see a lot of you suffered from the lower left corner smudge on this comic. I had one as well and thought i would share my solution. I used a kneaded eraser on mine. I know a lot of you draw so you are familiar with kneaded erasers... but for those of you who don't... it is a grey/white putty like material that you can shape and "knead", used often in pencil art. I was able to carefully rub/dab my smudge away (at least 90%).

Yes, a rubber eraser as I call it. You can pick them up in Art Stores like Hobby Lobby for 3-4 bucks. I might give that a shot, makes sense as THAT'S what they're used for. Not sure why I didn't think of that. Sometimes the obvious answer is easiest to overlook. Thanks for the input Critter and welcome to the Junkiedome!

Before

After

Not the best example, I have done much more drastic smudges. But I just bought this NM# 1 (2nd Print), and as you can see the kneaded eraser did well in taking off that dark spot and light smudge at the top.

Your after isn't showing up

I've lightly used toilent paper on those smudges before and have toned them down considerably. Just make sure it's fresh, unused toilet paper otherwise you're liable to make it worse than what you started with.

are people really paying that much for the #2's? If so, I definetly need to list mine now. Think I have about 5 or so laying around.
