Nice, I like that casting idea for Tony...not sure if they'll be able to get Sawyer as his partner though. Maybe John Goodman as Savoy?

Yep! I (again) was about 50 minutes away from my house for work and found another LCS. Crappy little shop, but I dug through some boxes and found it.

I think he actually thought about not selling them to me he said "oh.....I didn't think I had any of those".

Thanks for the info/heads up on this book! I was pretty happy when I found them.

He may have had some other good books from that time frame in there, but only one I could remember to look for was Chew.

In the first significant update in a while on Showtime’s planned adaptation of Chew, artist Rob Guillory reveals the project has “an awesome script” by Brian Duffield (Jane Got a Gun) that’s “shockingly loyal to the comic.”

“All the favorite characters are there, and the tone is dead on,” he tells Mancave Daily. “Stylistically, it’s about as close as you can get to something as weird as Chew. So right now, we’re basically going back and forth with Showtime. Network stuff, which can move super-slow. But the good news is that we’re taking our time with it. If it does happen, it will be good. It won’t be something we just crap.” out.”

That is true. I think it will still be made by some other channel. Could be a good time to grab a few copies if the prices come back down.

I spoke to John Layman at last year's C2E2 and he said was really focusing on the animated script, so I'm not surprised in the least. He will be at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con in June, hopefully he'll have more info on the show going into production by then. Chew will make such an awesome, dark cartoon series; really hoping it gets done.

Regardless if it goes crazy because of the show, the market has already decided this is a $300-$400 book at the very least. This can only help prices for anybody who still has one.

Yeah, 9.8. I grabbed one after the showtime show got canned. Figured it was the cheapest they'd be. No place to go but up after that. I had a few raws, but no better than 9.4, so gave up searching and grabbed a 9.8

I met Rob today at a Toronto comic con...He said that Chew is slated to be an animation series initially with a possibility of a live action series/movie following...

By the way, he signed/remarked my ECCC Bunker #2 variant and also did a cover sketch of a very popular marvel character along with Tony Chu! I"ll post the sketch on another thread.
