$10 a book a week after release is a good start.

Thats beautifully obscene cujo!

I listed 3x Helheims last night for BIN £9.95... after checking recent sales have been going for around the £10-12 mark.

Half an hour later after my listing is up someone lists 3 copies for £6.99... why, oh why?! BAWBAGS!

Great print. I am not much of a fan of prints, but if you like that Helheim one, here is the link to the item:

JoŽlle Jones Print

I thought that was a commission that was done for someone?

I know, I saw the same commission. I wonder how the original owner feels?

I would imagine this happens more often than not. Someone thought the commission was good enough to make prints of and sell. As long as JoŽlle Jones gets her cut, I dont see the issue.

You guys know whats up then? So did she do the commission for someone but made a copy to have mass produced as a print? Or did the person who received the commission make prints with her consent, having them signed? I kinda was under the impression that when someone does a commission for you, they are making something that is custom and unique for someone based on specific requests. I mean in all honesty would actually prob help the original piece of art be more desirable just curious.

It's not that it is an issue. Just curious. I don't care if they have a commission made then burn it.

Guys...don't you think it was Challenger's Comics who may have commissioned her to make the original and thus they are allowed to make more prints of it?

Also...if an artist does a commission for you, they have the right to make prints of it if they want, Katie Cook does this and I had Danielle "Soloud" Gransaull approach me saying she's going to make prints out of my commission so she could sell...she asked if it was okay and I said yes. She was nice enough to ask but she doesn't have to.

Also for instance...I own this OA by Jason Metcalf and he continues to make prints of it to sell...actually he says it's one of his top sellers.

Here's the print he sells:

Hell, I would love it if a commission that I had done turned into signed prints at a later date.

Only speculating, but it is possible that the owner of the commission had it turned into prints, with permission of Jones and had them signed. Likely she is getting something for it. Again, only speculation.

Right, no one was arguing that they can't do whatever they want or that Challenger Comics didn't have it commissioned. Was just curious. And yes, it would be a good thing to have a commission later turned into a print. Why do questions always turn into ethical arguments on this forum?

No argument here. Just stated an opinion.

I know DigsUT, wasn't saying you were. Read back your statement John91C
"Guys...don't you think it was Challenger's Comics who may have commissioned her to make the original and thus they are allowed to make more prints of it?

I'm as well not trying to argue, just I didn't ask that question. I didn't ask if someone has the right or not to make a print. That's my point.

I explained that maybe challenger's comic commissioned her and that she has the right to make the print herself or the person who owns the commission also has that right (i.e. if challenger's comic owns it).

So in the end you did ask the open-ended question.

Moving on..........

J. Jones will be at Phoenix Comic Con. My big splurge this year will be to buy some pages, if any are available, of this book. People are panicking already and dumping their issues. That's fine with me, slow and steady wins this race. Wait till the first arc is out in TPB. "The rule of 6". At that point, I think we'll see a rise in price.

This hobby makes me chuckle some times. How can folks panic with only one(sold out) issue in circulation. If by issue #5 there is no significant movement, then MAYBE, it is time to worry.

This very thing is being debated on the cgc boards in regards to EOW as well. Makes me laugh!

If Oni really cared about the "speculation" of this book, then there would be no 2nd...3rd....10th...101th...print of it.

That being said, it would be kinda neat to see an announcement from Diamond or Oni saying "there will be no re-prints of this issue." Never happen, but still fun to think about
