Oni site says they are limited to 500, 100 going to creators...so pretty much the same deal'y as the #2 variant, which, yes, is surprising is still around.

Maybe its the 20 dollar price tag who knows. I assumed katie cook had a huge following out there I'm a bit surprised too. However with 2 per address it might have cooled the possibilities of hoarding a ton of them individually.

It could be the fact that no one knows if this series is going to continue or not. Hopefully it does because i like it

Well Bunn has said he has more stories to tell add that and the sales are stronger than sixth gun actually double sixth gun numbers, I would think it would be a no-brainer.

I haven't read any Helheim yet. I will when there are more issues--so i can knock out 5 or so at once.

However, someone who has read the first two has told me that the story is a little bit too similar to Game of Thrones. Is there any truth to this?

Hmm only way its sort of similar is there is undead but they are not really the white walkers with blue eyes. No kings, Queens, Princes or Princesses or political intrigue so not really like game of thrones. It has Vikings though!

Interesting.

Dang, I wonder where he got that notion from then.

I just looked at the cover with the ogreish man holding a small woman and figured, "Yep, that's Khal Drogo and Daenerys" and went on with my day.

Guess I better start reading and making my own silly conclusions

Yeah, I'm not really seeing that comparison at all either. I guess there's some swords and some people fighting each other, but it's pretty far from a GoT ripoff.

So far it's a much simpler story than GoT (zombie guy SMASH!), but I'm looking forward to seeing how the world expands as the series goes on.

EDIT:
"I just looked at the cover with the ogreish man holding a small woman and figured, "Yep, that's Khal Drogo and Daenerys" and went on with my day."

Yeah, that ogre guy has been pieced together from a bunch of dead bodies and can be repaired with parts from additional dead bodies...

Its ok don't feel embarrassed finally I think comic books are going back to their original roots with better art on covers cause back in the golden/silver age that made the initial sales. I think you'll dig the art in this title though 2staples

Ah, sweet...so kind of a hulk'y/frankenstein corpse, I like the sound of that

Side note: Just looked at the frame of this fella...it appears that he would need to be actively seeking out dead bodybuilders to repair himself on the regular :/

Oh yeah, definitely can't wait to crack the first of my readers copies open and see what the entrails of the books look like.

If they are double the sixth gun, it's only because of the sixth gun lets face it.
The sixth gun 1 also doesn't have any damn variants either, nor 300/500 ltd copies variants for the first 3 issues already, excluding the rest

One thing I have to say about Helheim is I love the crisp, clean artwork and the bright inks but its way too early to tell. So far for me it has been just meh, okay I guess.

Why everyone seems to hold this title in such high regard right now is beyond me, its not even on its 4th issue yet.

The draugr is now on the path of hunting down both witches, we'll have to wait and see how the story unfolds from here on..

Maybe because we have bought lots of copies and hoping to sell it when it does well

Seriously though, I like the series for the art. The story, like u say is meh.

But the art is strong enough for me to want to collect it. Who cares about what happens to the secondary prices eventually. Good if I can earn back some of my $$. If not, I will still love these books in my collection.

By the way, in case you guys missed the newsm Joëlle Jones is doing Suicide Risk 5.

Helheim #3 says are 10,118 that is solid sales numbers for first issue - 11k, 10k, 10k respectively. That is some solid number indeed!
