wtf is up with midtown

Im having a sh8tty week but wtf. Midtown no longer offers 15% off for pre orders on their midtown variants. Freaking greedy bastads

I don't think it's greedy...especially when for them they see somebody buy 20 copies just to flip them for 10x the midtown cover price (ASM 700, SS1)...when the majority are just flippers why not make a few extra bucks yourself? We are the "greedy" ones ordering stacks of books to mark the price up on. Just me .02

If they were really worried about people flipping them, they could limit them to 1 copy per customers which they often do. Seems to me they want people to order as many as possible

Everybody's taxes just went up too, so you're going to be seeing this a lot as people try and recoup the money that's being stolen from them.

If paid bi-weekly, that's 840.00 a year in additional money stolen from you. That's a lot of comics, or bread, or gas, or heat.

yeah someone at work mentioned that the govment is gonna take an additional 2% off our check for social security starting today. not sure if it's true, cuz i have yet to find any actual sources on that.

Its 2.5% and yes its true. They started last week I think or the week before. I dont know if its actually for social security but its a deduction for federal taxes never the less

Honestly, $10 for a MT JSC Variant is still a great deal. It will no doubt sell for more in the secondary market, even if the book is "meh." Will it sell for ASM 700 or SSM 1 money, probably not, but a profit none the less.

No, the same thing. The payroll tax cut was from the social security contribution, and it was stated all along that it was a temporary tax holiday.
