Default Amazing spider-man #300 chromium?

What's the story with this reprint from the late 90's. Went to a new comic shop today that pretty much sucked. On my way out I saw this sitting in his glass case in front of the register.

What kind of value does this have? Saw some on eBay but they are all 9.8 or signed for large amounts of money. This was not 9.8 worthy but didn't get a great look at it. Maybe 9.0 or above.

found some info Scroggy

In December 1998, Marvel released a reprint of ASM #300 with a 'Chromium' cover in the Marvel Collectible Classics series. This appears to have become more collectable than the original with high grade prices well over $500 (not surprising given that the print run was only around 3,300).

Well the owner stated he wanted $200 and he goes by the over street price guide. Never looked through one as I go by eBay prices for now.

I might have to take a closer look at it tomorrow

Look it over, and if you find any flaws, point them out to him, then ask him what his best price is on it. He may come down a bit. NEVER be afraid to ask for their best price. You'd be surprised how well that works. Just be nice.

Doh! No kidding, just happened to me with an Iron Man #1. Went back the next day, as soon as the doors opened to get it, and it was gone with the wind!

I wish I was going back but they have weird hours and closed at 5pm. Tomorrow they open at 1030, I'm sure I will be his first customer
