what were some comics you regret flipping a little too early or too late?
off the top of my head mine would be following: hardcore #1 sketch - i waited way too long to flip these. bought 10 copies and only sold 1 for $25 my little pony midtown #1 - not sure if i flipped to early or too late, but only got $8 off it in auction django #1 - sold in auction a week before the action figure craze and only got $7.50 for it. seeing this recent sales are making me cry

I never did but my boss is to this day still sick about it! He had the first 10 issues of the walking dead sold them a while back for an undisclosed amount which I'm assuming is a couple hundred or so.... to this day he refuses to look it up at what the going prices are!

Don't feel too bad as long as you sold it for at least what you paid for it. I sold all my Saga #1's at $35 a pop about 4 months ago. You're not the only one.

Hardcore #1 sketches were one or me but I only had 3. Sold one still have the others.
I've sold some Revival just toget $ for other stuff that now I wish I hadn't but again I bought other stuff with it so its fine. Plus I still have a nice hoard that I'm holding onto for the long haul. Probably slab a few regular #1s, a few 1Bs, and a couple Third Eyes. |

On top of that, it's got the first appearance of Drax in it, who's in the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thing is, if you make profit on books, you cannot regret it. Sure we'll make mistakes and sell too soon. I bet some selling PP 1 right now are questioning that very same thing right now. But as long as you did something good with the $$, why any regrets?? I sold most of my comic collection off in 2003 (FF1 5.5 graded, etc etc) BUT was all for a downpayment on my house which has done quite well for me. Do I regret? No. Dont' live life like that. Btw, that Avengers 4...wow. Last edited by Cujobyte; 01-28-2013 at 02:45 PM. |
