So yesterday I decided to go to a LCS I never go to, since they never carry anything, and are probably just making it because of all the card games.
He had a few Saga #8 on the shelf for cover so I bought them, and also a Hawkeye #3 and Bedlam #1 for cover. I asked him the usual mumbo jumbo....any Saga, or Peter Pan back issues....he proceeds to tell me he cannot sell anything Image and I might take a gander in the $1 boxes to see if there are any in there...there were 12 of them, so after a long sigh, I decided to.....alot of $h!t in them.....but then also found these. ![]() and also these! I could not believe it........I felt like I just stole something. The owner was really happy I found two in the boxes....and he had no clue.

I would have had a rather large grin on my face finding the last 2 there.
Kinda funny that the guys like "Image never sells"....he's be speaking quite differently had he thrown one of those bad boys on ebay. I might check that store more often if I were you. |

I agree, shop owners don't take the time every couple weeks to go through those boxes and you can, and I do, find great books in those boxes like jszczerman.. Man, to find a PP #1 though, you had to probably change your underwear.

#1, #2, #3, #8, #7, then the rest. #8 and #7 will be key issues moving forward.

The DD #2 is a $20 book.
That's what I sold it for a few weeks ago at least. Guardians #24 is about a $10 book. However, it'd be best to wait until the movie is about to be released or Thanos makes some more waves. I believe it features a cameo at the end and then a full appearance in #25. Those books acted as a reintroduction of Thanos into the 616 universe if I remember correctly.

1. #1 2. #2 3a. #8 3b. #3 3c. #9 4. #7 Then the rest. I could even see the #8 climbing to the #2 spot given some time similar to a WD #19, #27 type key issue. |

Unless it's deemed that #8 is just a cameo and #9 is the full first appearance, then #9 will be the biggie. It also looks like Morning Glories #14 is hitting $18 now

In #8 the very last page is a shot of "Kapitan Haken" with some of his goons. From what I understand #3 Haken makes an appearance but has both hands. I can't confirm it (I have the TPB on the way so I can read it). So #8 has a quick cameo of his hook hand on the last page leading into #9. In # 9according to Kurtis Wiebe said we will find out how it happened. Basically an origin story on how Haken got his Hook hand.
Anybody with more info correct me if I'm wrong but that is my understanding. |

It'll probably come down to how CGC labels the books during grading as authoritative word. Like how Hulk 180 is cameo of Wolverine, and 181 is 1st full appearance. Maybe, I'm just guessing here, but outside of reading the series, #9 could be worth picking up just in case as it may be a key issue as well.

Not sure what the market will decide (see Hulk 180 vs 181), but the creator says #8 is it.

Also, Per Kurtis, Grab your copies of #9 when you can. There are a lot of eyes on the series now since #8 and this will be the last issue before the print run goes up.

It's due on 2/13, I think finding it anywhere for pre-order at this point is going to be very difficult. If I see it anywhere I'll post it, but it's sold out everywhere I've looked so far.
