Default Chin Music

Writer: Steve Niles • Artist: Tony Harris

Shaw is a man on the run and lost in time. Fleeing ancient enemies, Shaw finds himself in prohibition-era Chicago surrounded by gangers and demons alike and caught between law enforcement and the local supernatural underground. CHIN MUSIC is a tale of mysticism and violence like nothing you've experienced before.

Whos in? IM skeptical but I would kick myself if this blew up and I didnt have any. Right now its a 5 issue mini series but if the numbes are good Steve niles said he wants to make it ongoing.

Saw it in previews and am going to add it to my pull list. Looked like something I would enjoy reading.

Got 5 in my DCBS order. The preview pages looked amazing. Creative team is top shelf. It'll depend on the print run on how well it flips. The bottom will fall out on the Image money train sometime.

IMO the train just left the station. It's going to take quite some time to match print numbers of Marvel/DC regular monthlies. When that happens than it will be time to throw momma from the train.

I've been reading up on this and I'm in. They say they're trying something new with it, so that's encouraging and could catch people off guard, if so and it's under-ordered, it'll be another book in demand. I'm pre-ordering this title as I like the supernatural twist as he'll be battling the mob and demons. Could turn out to be a fun read.

I think east of west will be the new bedlam, loads of hype and a high print run which won't see prices soar much.

Bedlam is getting great buzz among readers though, I think it's simmering and could still pick up steam.

no one is going to let another Image title go under the radar...at least for 2013.

As with the new artist announcement it should pick up interest with the TPB, still think its more of a loss for the series with Riley going... but i'm a fanboy on that one!

I only picked up the regular & FP signed variant for Bedlam but still has room to grow.

Yeah, the 1st trade really seems to kick interest up in Image titles provided they're written well, and I feel Bedlam falls into that category.

I liked the first issue of chin music. Its dark and gritty and gangster era of the 30's does it for me. Nothing like this currently and it feels like a crime novel. Also checked out my lcs and didn't pick up anymore cause they were beat up bad. This dark black colors will be hard to find one in super nm shape.

I didn't like the first issue at all. I'm already in for the first 3 issues but I'm out after that.

Just sorted my 35 copies and just found 5 9.8+ candidates.

Tough book to get 9.8 indeed
