Question About Cons

Hey fellow junkies, I haven't been to any conventions before and I wanted to hit up the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention on Feb 24.

The question I have was should I bring cash to these events to buy things or will a credit/debit card suffice?

Cash rules, but most of the guys these days have the devices that attach to their smart phones or ipads or whatnot to accept card payments.

Bring cash if you can. It's just easier to work and bargain with. If they are using a credit card, they have to charge sales tax or whatever fees (minor fees though) come with using an e-payment.

At SDCC last year I remember some things were cash only, too.

Cash for sure. More bargaining power and has a psychological effect when people see those green backs. As well that way you don't go nuts if you have a budget too. I was thinking about going to this Con as well but haven't been to a Con since pre-internet days. Do you guys feel you can still come up on super good finds at Con's?

I've never been to a Comic Con. Someday, i will trust me. You enjoy yourself and have fun.

I think most dealers would accept credit cards (especially when you might be talking about some high dollar sales), but if you're getting autographs and stuff from guests then cash is the way to go.
