The comic shops around me sell Top Loaders for $1.50 plus tax each (no discount when buying 10 ct sealed bags of them). I checked tfaw, Midtown, and Graham Crackers and can't seem to find them. Does anyone know where I can find them the cheapest in bulk? I like to have all of my $40 plus books in them so they don't get banged around, and I usually ship $75+ books in them for extra security.

I can't find any comic top loaders on Blowout. Mylars are good for the corners of books, but they won't protect against spine or surface creases if you have someone pinching them too tight or flopping them around. I had a vintage dealer that wanted to do some trades for my rarer ASM 700 and SSM 1 Variants and I couldn't believe how he was tossing my books around carelessly. I just grabbed my short box of books and told him I'd be back later to try and make some deals. At the CGC tables they obviously don't teach their non-graders how to handle books either.
And I don't just put my books straight in the top loaders, they are bagged and boarded and then place inside of them. |
