Any thoughts on Antman? Will a movie move him or big hero six books much?

my sentiments exactly.
See a lot of people selling them off for what I see as cheap compared to price they could achieve later down the line ($15 to $20).
I'm sitting on my ever growing pile of clones (which includes adlard variant 9.8 slab & 1 signed adlard variant).

As far as Ms. Marvel speculation goes, people are forgetting about Captain Marvel 18, which is where Carol Danvers receives her powers. Lots of affordable copies online...

You think people will care? I don't mean that in a passive agresive way either. She isn't in costume in that issue, right? Just gets her powers. I don't know that many would be too jazzed on that book unless they were a die hard Ms Marvel fan. Personaly I am not, so maybe I'm biased.

People care about Captain Britain 8 - Psylocke not in costume, but that issue is HUGE. I'm sure there are other examples.

And do people care about costumes or do they care about super-powers (besides Indy )? I think the latter is more important...

So thats the thing. People in general do care about 1st appearances in and out of costume. Why some over others? No idea. Cap Britian 8 is a lot harder to find than NMA2. Regardless, both considered 1st appearances for various reasons. Cap Marv 18 to my knowledge is only when she gets her powers. MSH13, 1st Carol Danvers not in costume and Ms. Marvel #1, 1st app in costume. I'm not arguing obtaining super powers as not being important, but more so trying to think of any situation that isn't a 1st app, where collectors jumped on the book. I'm also by no means saying that hasn't happened, i just can't think of one.

Also my question about her being in costume wasn't to suggest she needed to be, just that new things are discovered all the time and or there is wrong information all over the place regarding app's. I don't have that book, so thought it could be possible.

I'm just curious why you think so. I don't agree on that one, which really doesn't matter to anyone but myself, but you have listed some of the best books to speculate on previously (including many of my buy books) so i value your opinion. Personally I don't like to list my buy books but that's just cause i don't want to have to risk having additional buyers or an increase in prices as i buy bronze/silver age books in bulk.

Disney is behind Big Hero 6. It has MASSIVE potential as they market the hell out of their animated features.

I was hoping SS movie would be made after the 2nd FF it was supposed to. But since the series is coming back might take some of the old SS up a bit. And the walking dead 108's are going up quick. mycomicshop in 3 days went from 69.00 to 139.00

i said this in the silver keys too, and i'll put it here too, action 252, first appearance of super girl, i know most people here collect and like marvel but eventually the dc characters who's prices are already not in the sky will see a lot of movement, i'm already seeing it in this book, hard to find for cheap though

I thought Action 252 as a mid grade was already pretty pricy. I have been on the hunt for a low grade, clean cover at an affordable price, to no avail.

i guess relatively very very inexpensive compared to other first appearances of dc characters, on the cgc forum a 4.0/4.5 raw book that presented well sold w/i a few hours for 825 about 2-3 days ago, myself and a few other people were thinking why didn't we get it(i saw it and was thinking about it and it was gone)

Whenever i feel like i missed the boat, i try a look for something comparable that is either related to the franchise or character that could follow suit. If you see super-girl related stuff blowing up for whatever reason, I would consider Superman #123. I suppose one could argue that is the actual first appearance despite her being dreamt up or whatever. It came out about 8 months prior than Action #252. Most sources say "try out super-girl" or preconcept. I don't know the merits to argue for or against it, as I hate DC comic characters in general. Therefore my knowledge on them is limited. Appears to be pennies in comparison.

Detective Comics 647 - First Spoiler/Stephanie Brown. Worth grabbing for a few bucks when out and about on your hunt for some of these older books. Ebay supply has become largely nonexistent since DC announced the character was returning next spring a few weeks ago. Only 14 9.8s in the census too

Infinity Gauntlet selling real well right now. Would stick to the first issue unless you can acquire all six.
