Wow is right!!!

I thought 50-60k on this book after the hype.......boy was I wrong!

I have to tell ya, multiple covers, inflated print runs.....starting to feel like the 90's all over again

Get back to me when nearly every book has 300k + print runs .

To call this the 90s is premature.

I'm glad to see it.

Maybe with a print run like this, people will actually read the comics since they can't flip em right away..No matter what I get rid of, I will always have my ASM ...I have read every issue..love that book, the best was stan writing, I think McFarlane did ok with it also

Regardless of the print run, I will still be picking up a copy of this book for the read. Just nothing more than that

A little surprised about the print run and not really sure i believe it but the print run is mainly due to how it was solicited and of course the many variants.

I have learned a few things and have decided I am NOT sending in a grading order on this one after learning this about the title, and how it's already at 150K on pre-orders.

Retailers whose orders of Jupiter’s Legacy #1 (in any cover combination) match or exceed their orders for The Walking Dead #106 (in any cover combination) will qualify to have 100% of their Jupiter’s Legacy #1 order made fully returnable.

So basically, no matter how many copies retailers order, as long as they order lots, they are completely returnable and they won’t pay a thing if they do.

Of course, if you want me to send yours in for you, I'll be more than happy to, but I am not setting up a group grading for us on this title.

Once Millar stated this would top April's sales charts and it would be the biggest creator owned release in 15 years that was my cue, from a speculators viewpoint, to exit stage left. Indy has only reconfirmed the point. No reason for retailers to cancel orders OR order more than normal with a money back guarantee. It will be a GREAT read and I look forward to the release as a fan of Millar's work.

I was going to order a nice # too but I just couldn't pull the trigger after reading Millar's statement. I am sure though that sets will sell out of the gate for those that get them up sooner than later ;-)

What happens to the returned books? Re distributed or destroyed?

I still pre-ordered some, don't get me wrong as I think it'll be a good book, but the sheer volume does not make me believe it will be a sleeper as everyone and their mothers will easily be able to find a copy.
