Picked up 3 Books for my PC today

Defenders #1

Daredevil #158 - 1st Frank Miller

TOS #79 - 1st Cosmic Cube - You should all be getting this one! It's still affordable and has HUGE upside potential IMHO

Yeah that TOS 79 looks great...compared to my copy, at least.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking with a pressing, these could get 7-8 range... I would LOVE to find them in NM condition, but that's tough. They don't print any more of these, so I sold my lesser grade TOS 79 to upgrade to this one.

One other interesting piece of information regarding Tales of Suspense #79 - The Iron Man story begins Marvel's first multi-title crossover, beginning in this issue of Tales of Suspense, continuing into next issue, and concluding in Tales to Astonish #82.

I snagged a TOS 79 in about 8.0 solely on your advice! Is this something you recommend slabbing? I love the fact that it is also the first appearance of AIM, I couldn't get enough of the AIM Island hook in Hickman's FF.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I send a giant THANK YOU to Indy for his insightful tips on books that will be hot.

Is AIM in TOS 79? I don't own the book so curious, and could you attach a picture if so of panel or panels in question.

an 8.0, yes. I would. Either for protection and storage, or resale value, it's a good one to slab. I sent mine in, but I don't think mine is an 8.0, probably closer to 6.0-6.5, but I've been wrong before.

They may not have realized it when they graded it. Also, some things become key over time.

Looking at Strange 146 slabs, it doesn't say First AIM either. But that may work to your advantage when you are the buyer!! I'll take that knowledge and HOARD HOARD HOARD at a discount. Thanks for the correction Indy

I asked due to GLCBrad's comment. IMO you never want to just take Wikipedia at face value, but I have always as well known it to be Strange Tales #146. If I'm not mistaken CGC goes off Overstreet's designations of 1st Appearances unless someone took the effort to write into CGC regarding about slab comments. As well as was stated it was and is likely that it wasn't of much importance to the main stream until the Avengers Movie and no one cared yet to update and might never update.

Sweet pickups! Love the Deadpool variant (got the regular version) and X-Men.

Bought a Superior Spider-Man variant of the top middle one online but then they came back with 'out of stock'. Crap! There was one on the 'Bay for $40/8 bids and time left. Double crap!

Thanks.. I was a bit disappointed with the grade. I was thinking 9.4, but sometimes me and the CGC people don't agree. It'll be listed on Ebay tomorrow night as I'm gonna try again as I have another one to send in, but I'm gonna actually PAY to get the grader notes on that one to find out WHY it graded 9.0 and see if I can address it before sending my next one in.
