Default How to ship comics without having to use cardboard or too much tape.

After getting in 6 shipments today I have had it with all this tape wrapped around cardboard sandwiches. Can be very tedious to remove and sometimes cause damage.

People have been asking for a video of how I ship so I finally did one tonight.. I hope it catches on.

You know what is best about the way I ship... You can open my packages in your car so you can see them right away(if you have a PO Box) without having to have a razor blade, blowtorch, and jaws of life to get at your books.

Just watched this now. This is definitely good. Can you send first class with this method (under 13 oz?) or do you send Media Mail?

Media Mail up to 3 comics will be $2.77, includes DC

You know misusing the priority mail envelope like that is a violation of federal law, right?

Which part is breaking the law? Resizing the envelope? Allow me to call my mother who has been a postal worker for 20 years.

The part where he took the flat rate envelope and used it for something other than mailing something in it through the USPS priority mail flat rate service.

Just a heads up, but they really don't like that, as those boxes and envelopes are free because the expectation is that you use them for the service they are meant for.

Just use a magazine bag in place of the envelope since your using bubble wrap it wont matter. If you just sending a single comic then use 2 silverage boards one in front and back and the silver bag, then bubble wrap.
You can cut up the envelope as long as u use it for priority mail.

Duly noted, wasn't able to reach mi madre but I believe you are correct.
We have been warned...don't get caught.
Just like how we all mail comics media mail because we consider them books. Yet media mail excludes anything with advertisements in it...

It's a misuse of post office property:
WARNING: Maximum penalty for theft or misuse of postal property, $1,000 fine and 3 year's imprisonment (Title 18 USC 1707)

As well shipping comics Media Mail is technically not allowed:
Items that DO NOT qualify as Media mail: Advertisement of any kind.

With that said, I live on the edge and break the law daily.

Whenever and if they ask what I'm shipping I always state, "books". Which is totally not a lie, just not specific. As well it is highly improbable to get caught and even more astronomically probable that the post office would convict you of the crime. At worst they would return it back to you.

Nice video Carrbeaz. Sorry Critter to just repeat exactly what you said. I am slow to actually hit post and sometimes don't fully read everyone's responses.

While you are not making money on shipping you are loosing money on it. Don't forget that Ebay adds their rape charge to your shipping fee's.
