The problem I have with variants is not knowing which one should be collected. For this case, which cover will be regarded as the "RRP" equivalent?

you can't really compare a "variant" to an RRP. An RRP was specially made for the industry as a reward to sellers, etc.

Variants are made for the consumer/customers and can be ordered as such. RRP is not made to order.

Sketch variants usually sell well over standard "let's change the cover" variants...just my opinion as I don't know if this is true 100% of the time...

The variant to get is the blitzkrieg 1st and the propaganda 2nd) but john is right, you cant compare it to rrp
Or you can do what i do and buy them all equally and sell them as sets

Edit not counting the sketch. Its obvious that is the one to get. Just speaking on regular covers offered online at places such as midtown

In the last couple of months, the "variants" that have been recommended on this forum have done fairly well. At the very least, you would only be out $8 + shipping if you got one book.

On the other side of that coin, the book could explode and you could be playing the "only if...." game.

a little insight on the b&w sketch incentive variant. It is a 1:3 variant. For every 3 TOTAL/COMBO of the reg, wrap and prop covers you could buy 1 incentive book. So, IF someone purchased say 75/75/75 of the regular, wraparound and propaganda covers they could also have purchased 75 of the incentive cover that they qualified for . They will be shorter printed but not by that much... don't get too crazy with them

Interesting and good to know

Any idea on how many of the blitzkrieg they print vs regular?

It could be equal #'s for all 4 books. The other 3 are 1:3 variant covers. Meaning uf you ordered 3 books blindly they should be filled with 1 of each. So, they could print 3000 of each bringing total to 9000. Making the incentive #'s 3000. Already the market is artificially making there a difference. I am in, but pointing out stores /distributors/large sellers would have ordered with this equation. I have the same amount for all 4 covers .The same will be true for #1 and apparently #2.

Yep I understand and appreciate the explanation. Specifically was asking about blitzkrieg because you didnt mention it and when i pre ordered off midtown i didnt see those available. Figured it might be something different.

Its weird that everone jumped on everything but the regular cover
and midtown is not limited the regular cover ...yet
