Little pissed, but I am in contact with the seller to possibly get a partial refund. I want to keep the book and get it pressed since the bend did not crease the book. GAH!

I'm really starting to like you.

I guess this is why we said boxes should be used, aye?

Definately, and cardboard on each side of the comic... not just one as you can see why!

And i'm liking the use of the Scots slang there... AYE! Ye cannae beat it.

If I can come to a reasonable agreement with the seller, I will definitely take you up on this offer.

Thanks!

Have the seller pay your shipping to and from Carrbeaz. $8-$10 IMO total for supplies/shipping with lots of buffer for no out of pocket. With that said I don't know what you paid for it. Whenever i get a steal of a deal i usually just write off stuff like that as a business expense. The seller clearly tried to protect it with the cardboard technique. I would definitely find out who your regular post man/lady is as they are likely the one at fault. Let them know to chill on the man handling of your packages.

Damn it, just checked Ebay. Had been awhile since I checked on this book. Last one I sold was a F/VF for $20 guess I should have held onto it a bit longer.

The book would have probably been in better shape had the seller used a different piece of cardboard. This one already had a "hinge" on it. It was doomed from the beginning.

I was kinda thinking that as well. He tried but failed. This is one reason I personally spring the 19 cents a piece on thick cardboard slabs. Plus I hate cutting cardboard.

I had a box of 10 Happy #1 variants smashed from Midtown, but I think it was just damaged in shipment as they did their best to protect them in bubble wrap and a box. They did issue me a full refund - shipping costs of course. I like Midtown, they've always worked with me on damaged issues in the past, just takes a while to get it shipped back/refunded, but they do.

Seller was willing to refund me $10 off the purchase price. That was a very acceptable resolution. That will cover my cost to ship it to Carrbeaz for the press

I would like to say good as new but it came out well.

I did some simple dirt removal on the back using drafting putty. Came out nicely.

Hope you're happy with it.
