Default Ten Grand Variants presale at Midtown

Ten Grand has some Variant covers available for presale at Midtown. Just saw these today. I like the look of the black and white cover.

Thanks for the info. Put in a pre-order for a couple of the color and the black & white.

Nice find. I grabbed 10 of the color variant. I really like the idea of this story and I think it could do well. At least worth a $30 gamble anyway.

Man, has anything with dynamic forces attached to it ever been worth anything. I want this variant but been burned by them so many times.

I pre-ordered the regular cover last month, but am passing on this variant. Thanks for the heads up, but taking it easy on variants right now.

At DF prices, no way. But at $3 each I figured worst I would do is break even. Could be wrong but that's the way it goes right?

Another variant to add to the collection, don't think I will be picking this one up and there seems to be a few now for this title...

The print run of ten grand? My guess is more like 20-30k. People are either a fan of templesmith or hate his work. He's not a great artist but he makes up for that with photoshop layer effects. I really liked his work on IDW's Wormwood and Deep Space. Who is writing the book? I'll likely google it but whats ur take on the story?

i wouldn't say he makes up for it, so much as he hides the sh!t out of his flaws and weak pencils with special effects. i am in the camp that is definitely not a fan of his work. i'm also lukewarm to jms, was enjoying his spider-man till he jumped the shark with the spider totem crap, and haven't read anything of his since. this whole series is a big pass for me, and the million variants just cements it even more.
