But that is quite expected, is it not?
Also, if I recalled correctly, the ongoing announcement did not move the prices of Todd much.

Interesting. The available listing for Todd 1 single issue is now all higher than USD8. Only 1 is available at a starting bid of USD4. The next few sales might establised a new price level for #1 standalone.
Todd 1 is indeed selling better. As I observed in my last update, the next few Todd sales will see a higher price point and this is currently bearing out in the Ebay auctions.

In chronological order

Todd 1 at $10 BIN
Todd 1 at $9 BIN
Todd 1 at $10 BIN
Todd 1 at $10 BIN
Todd 1 at $14.50 BIN
Todd 1 at $12 BIN

What's up guys. I've noticed the New 52 Superman #1 Title drawn by George Perez has been selling for around $15 a pop on ebay. I didn't think any of the current Superman titles were selling that great (We'll see with Unchained), so the sales were surprising to me. Maybe has to do with the movie coming out? New to the forum and so far love the community!

Infinity Gaunlet #1-6 @ $41 & 28 bids. Complete sets are hot on eBay.
Deadpool #11 8 bit Variant @ $12+ & 21 bids. Full disclosure - I have one up for sale on eBay as well.
Adventure Times #15 C2E2 Variant @ $20+ & 16 bids. Just heard on NPR radio that Adventure Time is the bomb. It's the new Sponge Bob or something. (shrug)
Superman Unchained #1 Golden Age Variant @ $16+ & 16 bids. Probably all those old farts on the Golden Age forums scooping this variant up! :baiting:
My Little Pony #6 Con Variant @ $50 & 3 bids (although it's really 1 bidder bidding three times).
Age of Ultron #10 Variant @ $49 & 5 bids.

I've sold a few "the last of us" #1 #2 sets for 24.99. If you guys see those I'd pick them up.

Is it me or has sales of modern really slowed down to a crawl.

It can be the con or summer effect as I am still see lots of bidding activities on non modern book, at least the ones I was bidding on.

How have your sales of modern been this month?

I think this thread should be renamed: comics that are cooling down

Here is one: 10 copies of uber 0 for USD11!

No wonder my set of 3 variant covers are not selling at USD25 LOL

OUCH, that is bad!! This is why I don't do stuff on auction at moment for less than I would want for it. I would rather put things on BIN & wait till it sells. If it doesn't then I will either lower the price if I feel that I have overpriced the item or the demand is low but if I feel they are reasonably priced etc I would rather hold on to it till market picks up than lose money on stuff I know to be worth more

I did sell a copy of the wrap cover a week or 2 ago at $15 & my wife sold a blitzkrieg (sketch) cover for $30 last week so they are still going.

ALthough my issues 1's have been slow sellers (didn't even bother with issue 2)

May I ask if you sold yours to UK or US?

My old problem is I can't lower too much because of shipping cost from my country to US. In my region, demand for comic is weak so it is hard to sell them off locally.

I sold these in the UK (only stuff I seem to sell that goes to US is UK only variants) . I know US & UK market are different but in general both are pretty poor at moment from what I hear.
It's a shame but unfortuantely you will be fighting an uphill battle because your main market is off shore so shipping costs will always affect how much you can make & people will generally got for cheapest total price.

By the way what is Singapore like for picking up comics? Do you have many shops supplying US comics?
I have been to Singapore once before but that was only for a few day stop off back in 2001 when travelling from Thailand to Indonesia

The Strain #1 Variant 9.8 sold for a healthy chunk recently. Might want to keep your eyes out for those. If you find one and want it graded, send it to me.

That is an absolute crazy price for that comic book. It has a cover price of $1. And when the news broke TFAW had over 200 copies of the variant left. I probably have 20-25 of them left.

Sell some to me for $2 a piece and double your money! - Seriously though, if you want to sell a few PM me a price.

I agree, the comic hobby market never ceases to amaze me. One mans trash is another mans treasure, or as the Beastie Boys "One's mans ceiling is another man's floor"

Are you in the states? Every LCS around me had at least 10 copies of the regular and variant. I'm in Philadelphia, so it is heavily populated with stores. And a small comic con I went to last weekend I found sellers with a bunch of copies for $1 still. That's definitely a purchase they will regret.

Yep, in Indy. Gonna keep my eye out and see if I can find any. We have a show this weekend, perhaps I'll find some there.

Helheim 1 2 3 First Prints Oni Press Comics Cullen Bunn Sixth Gun Sold Out | eBay
Noticed a little heat on Helheim even regular #1's selling between 7 for a VF to 8-10 for a NM. With midtown finally sold out I'm sure these will climb higher.

A regular #1 and Variant sold for $79 not once, but twice! Not bad for $1 books.

eBay.com Item Purchase History

Check closer. That listing is weird because it looks like they sold for less. I don't understand it.

And I can't sell #1-4 for $14. Weird.

It must be how they're showing Best Offer situations now. Thanks.. still not bad resale for a $1 book.
