The highest bidder only has 1 bid over the past month so it isn't shady that he has 100 percent with that seller...

The previous bidder has 5 bids, 2 of those being on with that book, giving him 40 percent with that seller. And he actually only bid once at 200 dollars. His previous bid of 150 was a placeholder since it was the highest price at that time. His actual highest bid of 200 was not revealed until the current time high bidder exceeded it.

That auction is legit.

Let me first say the rolling eyes emoticon was towards the MOS #18 heating up and not your thoughts pertaining to the MOS #18 auction. The mentioned in this thread does look shady now that you've pointed it out.

I did check out completed auction on eBay and I stand by the statement that the comic itself seems to be heating up.

Checked the census and I am kinda surprised that only 200-ish 9.8 exist of this book. However, I am still skeptical as to why this book is gaining steam. Maybe I should just go find a copy and cash in

They are still selling well in general with daily sales.

Five ghosts, on the other hand, is seeing less heat. Despite good reviews and a consistent print run, the regular 1 can't seem to lift anything higher than $3-$6. See result here, here and here.

9.8s are selling around $50.

A 9.6 recently sold for less than $10. Must be a pretty desperate seller.
Its pretty well looks like 5 Ghosts is a dud no matter how much pumping some try. Black Acre is the same way. Feel sorry for the guys that bought a ton of both books.

Spawn 9 is funny. If Angela soars at Marvel or she gets in the GOG movies there is no limit to the value. Currently people are still buying cheap. Its the rare app of her that will sell well currently because Spawn 9 had a huge print run.

This research was done before five ghosts was announced as an ongoing at image expo. The original post was from mid-June. It's currently far from a dud. Look at recent auction results for raws. You can sell me all the number 1s you have for $3-$6 if you'd like.

I don't know what's up with Todd but some pretty good sales yesterday. From a cover price book to over USD10. If it is some movie related news, didn't we learn the lesson from 6 guns already?

TV news will always give a book heat. Sell the sizzle not the steak is what we should have learned from sixth gun.

It would be nice to see Todd made into an Adult Swim animated series. I think the kinda story it tells is a perfect fit.

Well, that is one selling for USD499 now! LOL
Even with news about an animation series, I don't think folks will repeat the sixth gun mistake. Or will they??

We just don't know what the "news" will be yet. If they order it to possibly be a cartoon I wouldn't think the uptick would continue all that high.....I guess we'll find out.
