I'll do you one better. Buy Bronze Age comics that LOOK CGC 9.8 grade. Once again, this is buying the grade and NOT the comic, nothing more. The Stan Lee signature helped and added about $200.00 on the comic value.

Need examples? Go to ebay and type CGC 9.9 and tell me all the garbage books you see that are overpriced.

With Marvel going to their "space" phase...huge chance for a stand alone movie...

Someone got it confused with #117? But Seriously, it's the first Appearance of Quasar, although as Marvel Man. The same Marvel Man who soon after turns into Quasar. He appears 1st as Quasar in the Incredible Hulk #234 - Quasar has potential to big a big character in the Cosmic Marvel Universe. Captain America #217 issues are dirt cheap for the most part if you can find in back issue bins, as is Hulk #234s. Stocks Up on those if you can find them in great shape

Of course, this is all speculation, but it's coming some someone who a year ago said Grab Hulk #271's, and Thor #344's, etc..

Seeing the price that last #217 sold for, it appears I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Most people IMO are going to want Captain America #217. While it is the 1st appearance of Wendell Vaughn as Marvel Man he is pretty much the same as Quasar same guy same looking outfit, who at the end of Incredible Hulk 234 shows up as a cameo and announces he is now Quasar. Marvel Two-In-One #53 is the key. Wendell Vaughn was chief of security at Project Pegasus (Avengers 1 Movie Easter Egg as well as mentioned in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TV Show.) and he has a long history with S.H.I.E.L.D since his introduction. It's been going strong as a Buy it Now since about mid August but you can still get copies cheap going the auction route or of course your LCS as Indie has stated. I've hoarded a nice stack myself. I think the more and more speculation on this book will as well cause others to out bid each other for copies, driving the price up.

Mentioned this book a couple days ago too but typically prefer to be cryptic for fun/hell of it. Someone asked about Cap 117 and i said: "Also about 2 month's late but add a 100 and u can ride on your Peggasus with wrist bands and Shield. Just go the auction route."

No. My wife doesn't like that show for some reason even though we regularly watch Marvel's SHIELD (which I assume is a worst acted show). Must be a Marvel girl.

How about The Goon #1 @ $154 & 30 watchers. It's one of the most active, most expensive and most watched modern age comics on eBay and yet I rarely see anyone discussing it on these forums.

Any thoughts on Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow books going up in price. Although Speedy's 1st appearance is in More Fun Comics 73 which also has Green Arrow and Aquamans 1st appearance . Would be a nice book to own.

You have to be an Teen Titans fan. I think he was also DC's first drug addict. I guessed you never watched "Young Justice" cartoon. If you haven't, you should. It excellent. There's only two seasons.

Why the sudden spike? There was no new information being revealed I think.
