So from a flipping stand point they sell for way less.
I believe the preview's thing is an Image thing for the most part. Dark Horse usually features their books in Dark Horse Presents. I think it's because the market was flooded by people only trying to flip for profit in a few weeks and if it doesn't sell immediately they just dump it. People on this forum aren't trying to hold onto these books and they aren't typically going into private collections, so yeah, viperdays. Just kidding. but really all the "viperdays" on this forum really. And I'm not knocking it cause I like to make a buck as well, just saying why I think the DHP 11 sales went super soft. This and a bit of low demand being I don't really think there are as many Black Beetle fan's out there as one would be lead to believe and the ones that really are Black Beetle fans just want to likely read the story and not pick up a "1st Appearance" that is reprinted later in the comic run.

Not really.

When you look up DHP 11 and most recent sales and see the first 20 or so listings are 95% your sales of the book going for 4-7 dollars, there is no incentive for anyone to consider paying more for it than that.

I'm guessing you bought these frow TFAW or somewhere else when they were listed for 40% off since they are regularly priced at 7.99.

my point is... IF there are only 10 people looking to buy the book regardless of price than the market is soft. I purchased a lot at 50% of book .

Damn... although the grade assigned is not accurate.. I would call that an 8.5... Buyers of IM 55 know that as well but are still bidding this high. $730 is nuts.

I have a book I know will 8.5 and I would sell it for $600

Sixth Gun continue to command good prices, although not reaching the USD300+ sale mark that was established a few weeks ago.

Sixth Gun 1 & 2 VFNM condition
USD220

Sixth Gun 1 VF to VF+ condition
USD122

Helheim ECCC seems to be getting higher prices

A buy it now for a price that I suspect to be between USD100 and USD175.

Lucky it is tough to 'flood' the market with variants

i'm in contact with a guy right now who claims he has a iron man 55 raw that would grade in the 9's. he wants 325 for it. i told him to send me pics of it and we can talk. at first he was trying to get 900 for it cause he claimed it was a such a high grade. i told him if i want to pay graded prices i would buy graded. he then came down to 500 and now i have him at 325.00 if it looks as good as he says i'm pulling the trigger, and it's getting sent to you for a pressing and grading, lol.

of course this all depends how long it takes to get my frigging 1500 bucks released from paypal, so annoying.

Just be careful on these... lots of IM 55 have problems or restoration.. Make sure when you pay for it you type language in the paypal payment section the expectations of the book based on his description.

it's a local deal through a guy i found on craigslist. i know, i know. but i am really careful when dealing buying or selling there and am batting a .1000 so far.

i am worried about trimming or restoration though. i've been doing some research on the subject recently. any good sites or info too pass on? i just think someone that would be into something like that wouldn't bother listing something like that on craigslist. he had a bunch of other silver age books in his ad too. i just think he is a collector looking to get out or needs the money.

Yikes, just lucky I bought my 9.4 last year at $490 all inc. that is ofcourse before thanos blew up. Mind you as we know, this book is only going to grow. A 9.8 is pending on comic link for 3300. If I had that kind of money lying around I'd grab a 9.8 too, even in the current climate.

the activity is going crazy, just the mere mention of a possible development deal from the writer has sent these into a tizzy.

i picked up 2x 1's, a 2 and a 3 yesterday. i pm'ed some people on these last week, a auction for a 1, 2, and 3 went for 80 bucks. i have some more #1's on hold at some other shops to go pick up tomorrow, they are fairly easy to find right now.

Where was it announced that there's a possibility that it will be made into a movie/show from the writer? I looked at the print run for #1 and it's only 5,200 too so that's defiantly a plus if you can find them.

Nice! The copies I've found are all at least triple the cover price. I thought that I'd be able to find a lot aswell for a good price but so far I've not gotten one.

A high Helheim B&W sale for NM/M condition
