Default Peter panzerfaust 11 variant

Discount Comic Book Service - save up to 35% on comic books, statues, hardcovers and retail products

35 bucks

Its a 1:20 i believe

Just putting it out there in case anyone wants one but for me, this title seems to be cooling off. I cant justify spending 35 bucks on one book that i may or may not be able to flip

Yikes. That's a bit pricey IMHO. I'll pass.

They're doing a blank variant for c2e2.

Is this that?

Can't see it

I'm guessing there would be less than 1000 of these, so 35 dollars might not be terrible...

am i crazy thinking this could be a 50.00 book out of the gate. i know the title is cooling down a little, but this is the first variant cover. plus the print run is increasing means base issues aren't as in demand anymore, it could create a demand for this. figure the print run for #10 was 12k, so assuming the print run will be about the same for this issue, even it the print run is 15k, that would mean a print run of no more than 800 on these incentives which is pretty damn low for a popular book like this.

a 1:20 variant means a totally different thing for a title like this compared to a 1:20 for a book like gotg or something. to me it would seem like this variant should be thought of more like a 1:200 type of priced variant, even though i know it won't.

I believe they print more than an actual 1:20 ratio.

They are NOT printed to orders but they should be considered a rare item, as B-R pointed out, as the entire print run of PP #11 will be around 15K ...maybe

and what makes you think that? what's the point of a 1:20 variant if it isn't 1 variant for every 20 books ordered? if you ordered 100 of these to get 5 variants and they gave you 10 wouldn't you think wtf did i order 100 of these regular covers for if they just printed a sh!tload of these variants. they might as well just let retailers order the variants for a certain price then right?

sure they might print a few over in case of damaged copies or something, but they won't be going out to retailers unless they are backdoored to someone which is always a possibility. it's not like there are going to be 2k of these out there. i couldn't imagine the print run on #11 being anymore than 15k, at 15k you would have a print run of 750 on the variants. what is normal overprint for damaged copies 100 more maybe?

the cost of production is less as they print more. So with that in mind they might print 1000 even if the actual orders called for 500. I don't think anyone is suggesting they are going to MASS produce them but that things never quite match perfectly. The Ditko ASM #700 was offered as an incentive for buying ASM #700 2nd prints too so it certainly wasn't a 1:200 as it was originally solicited.

Exactly

I'm just saying this incentive will have closer to a 1000 copies than several hundred

Its a 35 dollar gamble. How confident are you that these will sell for more than what you paid for them

i wouldn't buy for that, just thinking out loud is all. i'm sure a few shops out my way will have them for less than that. might start asking around soon to see.

$35 is a inflated price on a pre-sale . A big gamble.

If you want see what direction peter panzerfaust is moving then all you have to do is look at "sold listings" peter panzerfaust #9 vs #10 and you can guess what 11 will look like.
I was just putting the link out there in case anyone wanted one, no speculation intended. Of course there is always that chance that something may happen in 11 like the first croc or something so we wont really know until after the fact. There lies your gamble.

yeah #9 was definitely the end of the gravy train, just wondering if their is one more ride to glory with this variant though.
